We took the Allen Marine whale watching tour which was a benefit tour for volunteer fire fighters. It was a glorious 2 1/2 hour tour complete with food and beverages. We saw humpbacks; orcas and sea lions and even saw the orcas hunt an unfortunate sea lion. The captain and crew of the St Michael (all the Allen Marine boats... More

This tour was friendly, informative, and fun. The crew made you feel welcome and the naturalist and tribal (Tlingit) rep were very informative as they narrated what you were looking at. The captain did a good job of steering the ship for the best viewing available. Just like the first tour we took with the same company in Misty Fiords... More

My wife and I did this tour as part of our Princess cruise. We really enjoyed the food and crew but the true highlight was seeing so many whales on our cruise. The guide / naturalist worked very well together with the crew to help us see many, many whales, get up close and see them feeding. Would highly recommend... More

Our trip to Tracy Arm Fjord was fantastic. The crew was helpful and the captain got us up close to the shore on more than one occasion. The sights were breathtaking. It is a trip not to be missed if you are in this area. My one complaint regarding the Allen Marine group was that instead of giving us a... More

Book your Allen Marine tour before your Alaska visit - especially if you're on a cruise. The transfer to a small boat which will bring you into the fjords and glacial areas will be a remarkable contrast from the cruiseship. My cruisemates and I were all delighted with the three Allen Marine Tours we took. Highly recommended - great crew;... More

My husband and I had booked the last Evening Whale Watching Quest with Allen Marine on Monday, September 26, 2016. Due to a mix up our pick up never got us. I placed a call to Casandra about 4:10 pm. She had us call a cab and they would hold the boat for us. When we arrived they took care... More

Did the Whale watching on September 21, Haylee was great at finding us a group of Orca's and Many humpback and Sea Lions. Beautiful area, and great shore excursion on my first trip to Alaska, continued on to Kitchikan on my trip and did the Misty fjords tour, very nice, met an alaskan native and got some sitka spruce jam... The marine biologist on board was wonderful. He knew where to take us to see whales, seals and beautiful scenery. Very satisfied with this excursion. Alice, our bus driver, was also wonderful. She pointed out the only eagle we saw on our entire Alaska trip.

Did whale watching as part of a combination with Mendenhall Glacier. A coach bus picked us up at our ship (Norwegian) and drove us to Auke Bay to board the sightseeing boat. We were aboard the St. Gregory with an all female crew and captain. Captain rushed out of the bay because orca whales were spotted nearby. We were able... More

We were a bit disappointed as there was too much ice around and our catamaran could not get into Tracey Arm so Endicott Arm was substituted. We were not told about the substitution until on board which was disappointing as we would probably have cancelled as really we only wanted to see Tracey Arm. The cost is expensive however you...
