Is this a somewhat smooth ride?? I'd hate to be seasick. Thanx.

the boats are very stable and you will have the opportunity to go in deck or stay inside. I don't think anyone has ever been sea sick on these boats.

We have booked this for mid-August. Arriving to Juneau On Norwegian Pearl at 2pm and booked the 2:30 Whale watch and Mendenhall Glacier tour for the afternoon. We specifically wanted longer time at the Glacier to have ample time to hike to the Falls and back with my mother (the cruise ship tour only gives you 45 minutes and we wanted longer). Will we have 1.5 hours at the glacier even if the tour is in the afternoon? Also, if the tour is in the afternoon, how long are you on the water for the whales? Is it 2 hours? Do you feel like that was a good amount of time? I can't imagine being on the water for significantly longer than that, but was curious what previous passengers thought? Thanks for any input!

You may not have time to hike to the falls. the Norwegian cruises are only in Juneau for a short stay. This limits what you can experience.

Is the whale watching boat ride/experience in Juneau smooth or is it extremely bumpy? Can you stand during the whale watching trip?

There were 2 instances that were bumpy in that 1 hour ride (one way) for like a few seconds but the sailors alerted us to hold on tight. So yeah 99% smooth 😀
