I was not looking forward to this excursion because I'm always cold. However, this was awesome. The blue of the ice is amazing. We got to see the glacier calving more than once. The scenery was beautiful. The ship's crew was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Absolutely special scenery with 1,000' plus waterfalls coming straight off cliffs, cascading in front of your boat. Steep rock walls with mt. goats coming to water level and seals floating in the numerous icebergs between North and South Sawyer Glaciers. Orcas also hunt these waters, and you can get your smaller craft right under a waterfall. We watched mt. goats... More

Part of a once-in-a-lifetime tour and we weren't disappointed - saw glacier calving and to hear the cracking of the ice in the silence was indescribable

We used The Local Guy Charters and Sightseeing to take in the beauty of Tracy Arm Fjord. Sawyer Glacier, cotton candy blue icebergs, turquoise water, whales, sea lions, and waterfalls were all part of the incredible day we spent visiting this hidden gem. We were totally unplugged from the real world all day long!

This is an all-day adventure. Generally the boats leave from downtown around 7:30AM and return around 4:00PM. They motor south to Holkham Bay and then up the incredibly narrow and enclosed fjord of Tracy Arm to the South Sawyer Glacier. At that location, they stop and wait and watch and listen... for ice calving off the front of the magnificent... More

This trip is a wonder. Being from Juneau, you can get a little desensitized to beautiful landscapes and seascapes, but taking this journey brought the wonder all back into focus for me. The fjord walls are that much more dramatic, and the glacier views from the water side inspired long stares and silence for both my wife and I. Our... More

We were on a Disney Cruise to Alaska. This was our first stop while at sea. We had plenty of time here to enjoy the views. The ship did a 360 degree turn so that we could see it no matter where we stood on the ship. A must see on a cruise to Alaska. It was an amazing in... More

This place is very charming. Especially when you can see little icebergs around the ship. Glacier is blue itself, if you get to see it on sunny day the blue is amazing, even would not find the words to describe :) Depending on the weather ship comes to glacier very close, you are able to get amazing, unique pics. One... More

In respect to your time and money, Tracy Arm Fjord has always been my favorite suggested tour in the Juneau, Alaska area. I was lucky enough years ago to work two summers on a vessel traveling Stephens Passage to Tracy Arm four times a week. Tracy Arm provides the traveler with views even some Alaskans have not seen. Traveling through... More
