Stopped by on our way to creek street. The minister was there and shared some interesting history. Beautiful stained class.

St Johns Episcopal church, is a very nice church, one of the smallest churches I have ever come across. The church has some beautiful Stained glass windows. If you have the time, visit it, as they charge money to enter the church..

Other than a stained glass window, there's nothing terribly impressive about this church. No architectural wonders nor much happening. Plus, $5 per person is a bit ridiculous for such a basic church. Maybe there's plaques noting the history inside -- wouldn't know since I refused to pay the exorbitant price, but it's a shame because I would have actually liked to PAY HOMAGE and give thanks within the church. Seems it's fallen into the tourist trap. I would've happily given to a donation box but a flat $5 seems like a rip off. It's central to town and certainly walkable from the cruise ship ports. Maybe a 4 block walk max, with a slight increase in slope.

Nothing really special about the St. John's Episcopal Church in Ketchikan except it looks really nice, is historic (by Alaskan standards), and had attractive stained glass windows. Good for taking photos. Easy walking to and from port area.
