My float plane trip with Seawind Aviation was definitely an experience of a lifetime! I couldn't think of a better way to enjoy the beauty and grandeur of SE Alaska. I was visiting after the tourist season but Lesley and Steve were very accommodating to make sure I got out on a tour. Lesley was great about staying in touch... More

We took this excursion on a beautiful day in Alaska. We were able to see all kinds of wildlife, glaciers, and get some great pictures. Small family owned company that are very nice. I would definitely recommend this company since they were super down to Earth and very friendly.

Mike was our pilot, he is awesome! We saw killer whales and were able to land in the water for a closer view. Saw humpback whales, bears, goats, flew over a Glacier, and saw seals...... I could go on and on. This is a must tour for Alaska. The price is nothing compared to the experience. Pick up at ship... More

A plane ride is the best way to see Alaska's spectacular scenery, and a seaplane ride is even better. We had the best of both worlds, seeing the beauty of the vast Tongass National Forest from the air, and then landing on a secluded alpine lake that made us feel like we were the only people within a hundred miles.... We took two planes up to Traitors' Cove to see the bears at the salmon ladder. The day was grey, but still beautiful. We were surprised how smooth the takeoff and landing was on water, never having ridden in a float-plane. Our pilot was engaging and gave us lots of information. Once we landed at the cove we were met... More

From the minute my communications began, to the time our Fjords floatplane excursion ended, it was a delightful experience. Leslie, the pilot's wife met us at the cruise ship dock in their new and comfortable van. As we drove the short distance to the floatplane, we enjoyed learning more about Skagway. Once we checked in, we were asked to watch... More

We were 8 people flying with 2 planes. The flight was very interesting to us, as this was the first time to take off from the water. The view were great, we saw deer, a bear and when we saw seals the pilot did a loop around them so we can see them clearly! We landed in a spectacular bay... More

This is the third time we have flown with Steve over a 7-year period; and we would do it again tomorrow. His knowledge of the area and ability to find wildlife while flying is great! We have had three different experiences, taking the same tour three times. This year we went to Alaska with my sister and brother-in-law; and it... More

We booked an excursion independently from our cruise and it was a pleasure to deal with Lesley, who answered all our questions and provided a customized itinerary. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate and the excursion was cancelled. She called me early in the day to let us know and even said they would be flexible if the weather cleared.... More

Must do this tour in Ketchikan! Our cruise ship arrived at 7am and we caught the Seawind shuttle by 7:30 and were flying by 7:50! The scenery of Ketchikan island and Misty Fjords is breathtaking. The flight was very smooth. The headsets blocked out the engine noise and allowed us to listen to music and pilot and even talk to... More
