Our bus driver/tour guide entertained us with history and facts about Ketchikan on our way to the marina to catch a boat to Silverking Lodge. We were met by the most engaging young man, Xavier, and our equally captivating boat captain Sonny. You can tell these guys have worked together awhile and love what they do. After picking up our... We took this tour while visiting Ketchikan on a cruise ship. We were transported about 20 minutes outside of town to the dock where a boat was waiting (jackets and rain gear are provided if you need it). The boat took us on a short tour, which included several eagle sightings, before arriving at Silverking Lodge. The Lodge is a... More

We took a bus ride for about 20 minutes outside of town to the boat. We were greeted by Xavier and out boat captain Sunny. We had to go down the docks past a fishing charter that had caught at least 50 fish to our boat. The boat trip to the lodge was short. Fish jumping everywhere. Xavier made sure... More

This was an excellent tour that was offered by Princess Cruise Lines in Ketchikan, Alaska. The tour was about 3 to 4 hours long and was well worth the price. It started with a motor coach tour on the highway to the venue. The driver/guide provided and excellent and interesting running narrative of the local area on the way. AT... More

We booked this as an excursion off our cruise ship. Our guide was Xavier. Our boat captain was Captain Bill. We pulled out for a delightful ride looking for Eagles, seals, and whales - and we were not disappointed. We were given plenty of time to get our photos in before moving along. At the Silverking Lodge, we explored part... More

The boat ride was fun and informative and we saw eagles and deer. The seafest was fantastic. I am still yearning for the crab. The tour guide, boat driver, and cook were all very nice and helpful. They provided waterproof clothing, hats, and gloves.

This was a really fun excursion at Ketchikan. Really worth it. We had wonderful warm weather. From the dock, the bus took us to the docks. Right at the dock, we saw 3-4 eagles. Our tour guide tossed some herrings out towards the water and the eagles came diving for the herrings. What a sight to behold! Eagles in action... More
