I enjoyed walking, easy walking, in the rainforest. It's not something you think about when you think of Alaska! Slugs and ferns! The totem poles are amazing up close and personal, even a native Alaskan carver! You also get the see several bald eagles closely,...More

Great tour. Nice walk in the rainforest. Plenty of eagles everywhere and our guide Rylee was great. Full of information and very funny. She got one of our group to lick a banana slug for luck. Would suggest going in August to see the bears...More

We visited on July 12th... saw one (yes, one) salmon running - he must have been lost. The walk through the forest was nice but it was obvious that there were no bears as the guide was killing time. Won’t do this again...

Wildlife life viewing involves timing and luck, I am sorry the bears were not visible during your visit.

On a recent cruise to Alaska with my son, we had the opportunity to visit the Alaska Rainforest Sanctuary just outside of Ketchikan. Although we have eagles, bears, salmon, etc. on the West Coast of B.C., this excursion appealed to both my son and I....More

I have never heard Savannah's "Bear Call", I guess I know what we are doing at the next staff meeting. I will tell her Katherine recommended it! Thank you so much for the review!

Sarah was the absolute BEST guide to experience the rainforest! Full of information and humor to keep us on our toes, and she licks banana slugs for good luck! I am a believer, your luck provided us the opportunity to see a bear up close...More

Please don't encourage Sarah by telling her she is funny, she will just make it into a pun somehow! In all seriousness thank you for taking the time to write a review and sharing you experience.

Rylee and Morgan were excellent tour guides. We had a fantastic experience with the highlight being 3 black bears on our tour. A great excursion and not very expensive either. I would recommend this to anybody visiting Ketchikan.

We opted for the hike and had a great time learning about the temperate rainforest environment from Savannah, who did a wonderful job. Great location towards the end of the walk for pictures of bald eagles. The raptor center was neat too. Wish I could...More

Our tour guide Mikey was very knowledgeable and able to answer all questions. She pointed out many aspects of the rain forest which we were not familiar with, and was able to communicate it at all levels. She made it interesting as we looked out...More

My husband and two young teens chose this excursion from our once-in-a-lifetime Alaska cruise. One of us is a bit nervous with heights, but we all felt confident and had a good time; it was the first time ziplining for most of our group. Our...More

Yes, there is a very nice path that I would consider wheel chair accessible. They make several stops along the tour to talk about things so if you get behind, you have time to catch up. We were fortunate enough to see a... More
