What an amazing opportunity! An earthquake the morning we were to head out to Knik. We were met by guides Jake and Randy. They transported us professionally to the launch point for the boats and then safely maneuvered us to optimal viewing points of the glacier as access to the lake was possible this day. There were fresh bright blue... More

We decided to take a friend from Virginia on this great tour. It had been recommended to us by locals who discovered it last year. We started with a scenic ride out the old Glenn Highway on a beautiful sunny day onto Knik River Road. We boarded a big old 4x4 will suited to navigating the back-country, the rough road... More

My husband and I are on our dream trip after retirement, having been on many tours traveling Alaska over the last couple of months, including 5 glacier experiences. This one definitely sits at the top of the list. The car trip to the meeting point started us off with beautiful scenery where we met Tom the owner, and our guides... More

We enjoyed this adventure very much. Tom & crew did a great job of making us feel safe & comfortable, pointing out the sights, & showing us a good time. I would recommend this tour for anyone that would like to get up close & personal with Knik Glacier.

Very interesting tour, super nice guides and they try to make everything happening what you ask for. We were too many people for the morning tour and they just added another tour for us. Seeing the Knick glacier up close and watching icebergs turning really made my day.

We wanted to take this tour on July 2. However, when we arrived we heard a weird story about the boats being boat sabotaged so they boat had both broken engines which were not going to be easy to fix. We had not received a phone call or e-mail upfront in the morning to warn us - could have saved... More

Fantastic! Very friendly and accommodating. Had three adults and 4 kids ranging from 1 yr. to 8 yrs. Got to see the glaciers up close and personal. Could not have asked for a better time.

Since we live nearby we always bring our guests on this tour, but this was the first time we went with kids. At 7 and 9 their eyes almost popped out of their head when Tom drove through the river on our way to the boat. After spending a week in Alaska doing other cool things like whale watching and... We've lived in Anchorage for 30 years and only just now discovered this little-publicized trip put on by Knik Glacier Tours. There are a lot of cool things to do in and around Anchorage, but this is surely number one for spectacular sights within an hour of town. It has the added bonus of being in a rain shadow where... This was my second time taking family on this tour and I have loved it both times. The guide is very nice and informative. Great for kids and adults. There is a steep gravel hill to climb once you reach the landing sight so not good for people with walking disabilities.
