We had a pleasant walk through this area while we walked through many of the attractions of Tianjin. There's lots of nice restaurants and bars lining the pedestrian streets of this area and Italian replica architecture and statues. Families seemed be enjoying this area and it is pleasant enough to go on a date to as well.

Tianjin’s Little Italy is load with restaurants and other concessions, most a touch on the expensive side. Our lunch was not as good as I would typically find in an average quality restaurant in Europe.

What a little-known quirk of history this place is. In the early twentieth century Italy managed to gain a few hundred acres of the concession port of Tianjin for itself and set about creating the only Asian part of the Italian colonial empire right there. But though it is of diminutive size, the district boasts some extraordinary architecture. There are rows of century-old villas, apartment blocks and even a few elaborate mansions. There is a Meditteranean sumptousness to the buildings, which makes this area stand out even in a city filled with colonial-era structures. The area is now an upmarket night spot, filled with very trendy cafes, restaurants and live music spots; this is about as cosmpolitan as China gets, really.

Maybe it's better at night, maybe it's because I lived in Italy, maybe because inread so many positive reviews but inwas SERIOUSLY disappointed in this place. I'd give a half a point of I could. It was devoid of charm, nothing resembling Italy in my opinion. The Venetian in Las Vegas gardens better represents Italy than this place.

This is a strange little place in Tianjin, which tries very hard to feel like part of Italy, but never quite gets there. The restaurants there offer a range of faux-Mediterranean dishes, but it's as if they're making something from a description that's been phoned to them by someone who's seen it in a book.

Perhaps the best part of the area is the Mussolini era architecture, with several buildings boasting huge Fascist symbols of axe and stick bundles around the tops of them.

This isn't really somewhere to go, unless it's a very hot day, and you fancy overpriced, badly stored gelato that's seen better days.

Firstly it's a misnomer , there's nothing remotely Italian about the place except for an Italian restaurant of which we had the unfortunate experience of lunching at . With a very basic 'Italian ' menu and the most unpalatable pasta ever ! The supposed aglio olio dish was swimming in oil, and it wasn't even olive oil !
There is a German beer place , a few other European style restaurants, possibly another Italian eatery but the place is so forgettable, I didn't bother to remember the details. My advice is to stay with the local attractions, this place might suit the local domestic tourist , but definitely not a foreigner.

Comprised of a few blocks. I suppose it is different / unique but somehow misplaced in China. There are many restaurants to choose from.

This is an odd part of the city, with beautiful European buildings from way back when China was forced to open door to the West.

We reached in the morning, some shops were still closed when we walked around. Quite cold weather and we hopped into Starbuck Coffee place for hot chocolate. Most shops selling the same thing i.e. scarf and souvenirs. Was told the place is more happening during late afternoon.

Quiet and relaxing area with nice building around. With bars, restaurants and more, next to metro, good for group of fds, family or couples.
