Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The old and modern centre of the town, from which you can see most of the points of interest of the town, including the Church On The Hill and The Clock Tower. It's all cobbled and (supposedly) traffic is limited, but it was constantly busy when we were there. The square is surrounded by restaurants, cafes and ice-cream places, as are all the streets radiating from this point. The day we were there, the square was packed with tables and chairs for a junior chess tournament. Quite a hustle and bustle place.

This is a great place to stop and see some interesting medieval architecture. Walk around (there aren't many tourists) for one to three hours and explore a few sites in the city!

Nothing extraordinary but it felt comfortable . This the central point of the town, also where the train ride end/starts.

A small square ... this December - 2022 actually - was hosting the Christmas fare of Sighisoara, small , but nice - with some booth where you good get some trinkets have a warm tea, grab a snack , etc.
Also a small train is there for the kids to enjoy.
On the square there are several nicely refurbished houses that are also historical monuments - those are guest houses or just houses where people live, in some you will find restaurants and bars or souvenir shops.
Overall a nice square but nothing spectacular ...just adds to the charm of Sighisoara.

The day was sunny. That was the only good part avy our visit to this place. There are so many people who want to sell so much non existent goods and services to tourists here,it is not funny.

Harmonious and relaxing spot. Fine houses with lots of individuality. A little electric toy train is fun for children and adults alike.

A most relaxing and satisfying spot. All houses seem to be of different designs and colour but the impression is one of harmony.

This wide area, surrounded by terraces and quaint souvenir stores is likely the perfect reference point when trying to navigate the meandering streets of this historic area.

lf you are ever in sighisoara, and i suggest you should be at some point, then im guessing that you will be sitting in one of the cafes in this square for lunch of dinner, or just a well-deserved beer after climbing up to the church on a hot day. sighisoara is just lovely, cobbly streets of pastel painted houses, churches galore, the house that vlad the impailer was born in, really great artisan shops, cheap food and, best of all these days, not totally packed with tourists.
this square is the hub of the citiadel for taxi, tuk tuk or hopper bus drop-off, which makes it sound like its full of traffic, but not a bit of it. the citadel is not car-free, but it is very low key deliveries, drop-offs and local cars only...as a pedestrian you do not have to dodge mopeds, or spend your time avoiding cars on the narrow streets, most of the time you will have the place to yourself, and the only place you have to be careful is at the gatehouse on the north side of the square, where the buses etc enter.
all the buildings on the square are about 300 years old or more, and your most difficult decision will probably be, which cafe to choose...oh, the pressures of travel! my favourite is the cafe khun next to the gatehouse, where i had the most delicious grilled cammembert with blueberry sauce, and the beer comes in china tankards, which keep it much cooler than a glass. it is just the best place to people-watch, and in a 3 day trip, i sat at every one of the bars and cafes at one time or another. but i may as well warn you, that the service, especially if you are from the US, is probably not going to be as friendly as you are used to at home, but everything is so cheap, so what the hell.
really pretty wee square at the centre of the citadel.
