A little out of Dalyan by 30 minutes but it’s a nice experience to see the efforts made to protect the turtles. Don’t miss the video presentation with details of their work, otherwise the visit is a little empty.

This little hut is set among trees at the car park end of Itzuzu beach. Unfortunately, it would appear to be overlooked by many who visit the nearby turtle 'hospital', as we nearly did, but were so pleased we stopped to have a look and...More

Always visit to see the turtles whenever we are about, apart from being close to these wonderful creatures it is nice to learn about the conservation work carried out here and the range of people who volunteer to help.

Interesting chat with the people there, to hear about all the good work they do. The turtle egg and hatching season was over when we visited. There were some large turtles being nursed back to health, pending release back into the sea.

It took a long while to get around to visiting but glad we did eventually. 15 mins from Dalyan or can be accessed directly from Dalaman direction. June's small former home, serving as a base for her charity, gives a good insight into the battles...More

Don't think there are fixed hours but know it's closed on Sunday and certainly open 10am-4pm other days. Most likely to catch Kaptan June herself on a Saturday around lunchtime if you areblucky.
