About
Iztuzu Beach, also known as Turtle Beach, is a must-visit spot for wildlife and nature lovers. The beach is a nesting area for loggerhead turtles, so during the nesting season, it's closed to visitors. There are wooden stakes that mark the nests, and it's important to keep a respectful distance from them.
At other times, you can visit the beach to enjoy the calm waters and fine sand, and soak in the beauty of the Mediterranean sea and lagoon. To get to the beach, you can take a boat from Dalyan, which typically includes a stop at the mud baths as well.

- Julie H8 contributionsAmazing beachThe best beach I have ever visited. 5km of sand - as far as the eye can see. Travel by public boat for 100 lira or go by mini bus for just 49 lira! The mini bus goes to the quieter end of the beach. They have toilets and changing cabins and a snack bar for food and drinks. Don’t forget to visit the turtle hospital at the bus end of the beachVisited May 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 24 May 2023
- HexazyzBrasov, Romania1 contributionGood Beach Bad HumansAmazing beach that I've been coming to for 5 years, the reason that I gave a 4 out of 5 is the amount of trash on the beach. The ticket person tries to ccontinuously clean every once in a while but humans are humans and they mess up thr place pretty fast. If you want to come to this beach at a nice time you should either come before 8:00 and enter instantly when it opens, or close to closing time at around 17pm until 20pm is a very nice time.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 31 July 2023
- Ricky CTadley, United Kingdom4 contributionsStunning beach!!We did this tour through tui as we had an early hours flight with an hour and a half transfer from the hotel we were staying in. The tour was cheaper than a late checkout and also gave us second hotel just ten minutes from dalaman airport up until midnight so was excellent value. So after an hour or so coach journey to the dalyan side we met up with our boat. First stop was the mud baths and hydro pool. Was an experience even if a bit smelly. Then it was on to lunch at 2* hotel at best. This was the only downside, maybe because the food at the hotel we stayed in was so good. We couldn't eat this. Back to the boat it was on to see the tombs that have been carved in the mountains. Really was a beautiful site. Then on to see the turtles. You do get a fair few boats jostling for space so our guide said we'd park up and spend an our on the main beach was was absolutely stunning. Clean, nice sand and excellent waves. The water was warm, probably the best beach I have seen. We headed back to the boat a little earlier and we're amazed by the turtles all around the boat. Was a truly beautiful sight. Would love to go back and see the turtles and definitely spend a day on that beautiful beachVisited August 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 27 August 2023
- Sharon E3 contributionsDalyan highlightsFantastic Dalyan! Take a boat trip through the reedbeds, a day's cruise out to sea, walk the length of Iztuzu Beach or stay a while at the sunbeds at either end of the 4km stretch. The turtle hospital is a must see too. I will visit again. The surrounding scenery is just magical and fresh pomegranate juice is a revelation!Visited August 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 5 September 2023
- Nathalie SKassel, Germany5 contributionsWonderful BeachVery clean, very nice beach! Food and drinks can be bought locally and there are public showers and restrooms. The umbrellas and daybeds are available for a small price, I recommend to bring e.g. an extra towel because the umbrellas are made woven material and do not protect fully from the sun.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 20 September 2023

Lovely sandy beach with lots of facilities to get changed, showered or have a drink. The sea slopes down very gradually and so it is very good for swimming. I saw lots of fish and wish I'd taken my snorkel.

Picturesque beach with natural beauty.Ideal for families with children as this is a shallow bathing area as the sea is shallow up to 50 metres out.
This is still a conservation beach as Turtles lay there eggs on this beach which also features a Turtle hospital at one end of the beach.

Wonderful, natural, beautiful and peaceful, good cafe and very reasonable prices. Only gripe is the "dog ends" that lazy people leave, there's plenty of bins for all types of rubbish/recycling

We took 2 trips to Iztuzu Beach during our week’s holiday in nearby Dalyan which is up the river. The first trip we took a boat taxi from our hotel pier - it costs 150 TLR per person and takes about 30 mins. The trip winds through the canals in the reed beds surrounded by breathtakingly beautiful mountains and past the ancient ruins of Kanous. The beach itself is 7km of golden sands with sun beds and parasols for hire (50-75 TLR) per pair, backed by sand dunes and a huge lagoon. Both ends also have beach cafes serving a good range of food and drinks for very reasonable prices. There were plenty of sun beds available and most people at this end of the beach use them rather than sitting on the sand where there is no shade. The sea was incredibly warm and the sandy bottom slopes down very gently so it’s easy swimming for all. There are areas of the beach which are cordoned off due to the many turtle nests buried there. You can walk from this end to the far end which apparently takes 30-60 mins depending on who you ask!
The next day we took a dolmas from the centre of Dalyan to the other end of the beach which is also where the turtle sanctuary is. It took about 30 mins and takes you up over a mountain providing more breathtaking scenery. The buses run to and from the beach very 30 mins and cost 65 TLR return. This end of the beach has fewer sun beds and one cafe (rather than 2 at the boat end). Turkish families seem to prefer this part of the beach and set up camp in the shady pine forest and on the sand. This end definitely felt a little more crowded but compared to other holiday destinations we’ve been to it really wasn’t! It was great to try both ends and both methods of transport - if we went again I think we’d go to the boat end as the trip itself is so beautiful and who doesn’t live a boat trip?!
Hands down one of the most beautiful and peaceful beaches ever. If you visit this area you must include a trip to Iztuzu.

Araba ile gidilen kısımla tekne ile gidilen kısım arasındaki farklar nedir? Derinlik, dalga kalabalıklık vs olarak aynı mı? Her iki yol ilede giden biri bilgi verebilirse sevinirim.

Yes, the beach is open every day 0800 - 2000 in order to protect the nocturnal habits of the turtles

Where do you get the water taxi from in Dalyan? I have been twice on trips. Now want to spend more time on the beach
Merhaba,
Aradaki fark nedir ? Cok mu uzak birbirine ?
Bilgilendirebilen olursa sevinirim.
Herkese İyi tatiller
Mutlu Sağlıklı günler 🙂

Do you have to pay to use the beach? I've heard there's an entrance fee, as it's a private beach. Thanks
