I was driving from Ras Al Khaima to Fujairah via Bidya. I got it on the way on my right side I stop there with my family and looked this beautiful Masque from old times may be first in the UAE. It is made by mud and mud brisks and still showing its glory. Good for history lovers.

This little mosque is one of the oldest in the UAE - possibly even the oldest. It is nestled at the side of the E99, and many people could drive past an not even notice it is there. As this is a place of worship, please remember to dress and act respectfully - long trousers, long sleeves, and head scarf... More

It was a very windy day so had to avoid being blown away when climbing the turrets. The Mosque was closed for renovation but you could access the courtyard. Very interesting to visit.

The Al Bidya Mosque, built in 1446, is believed to be the country's oldest house of worship. This beautiful structure is located on Fujairah's mountainous coastline, and is often overlooked as one drives past along the busy road. The mosque is built of mud and bricks and though partly restored, still retains its original look. Also interesting are the towers... More

Great Architecture of Ancient Man in UAE. It is a great place for Worship and a serene place. It shows the Dexterity of Ancient Man.

You should visit if you can. I am told this is the oldest Mosque in this region. The elderly gentlemen that was there when I visited greeted me, spoke in fluent English, said he'd studied in the UK decades ago. He was such a pleasure and library of information on the mosque, area. I'll never forget his kindness!

This quaint little building is brick and mud covered and represents the earliest introduction of Islam to the area. It does not require all the strict rituals of the grand Mosque in Abu Dubai but clothing rules still apply as a sign of respect. Definitely worth seeing.
