We spent a couple of hours jus wandering around and relaxing after lunch on a sunny afternoon. A delightful place to sit, read and watch the wildlife on the lakes in the gardens.

This is a must-stop place for us whenever we are in Ashburton. Unfortunately this time the Aviary area (our favourite) was closed due to new paths being laid. Apart from that, the place was busy with lots of families enjoying the other facilities.

The whole place is run down, the animals are neglected and the whole place is a health and safety risk, don't bring your children here.

The Ashburton Domain is a wonderful place to walk, run, meander or enjoy a picnic meal. Every season is different and special. Very well looked after and very peaceful. Love taking photos there in the different seasons - they are all good.
