We stopped here for breakfast en route to Timaru. Lovely setting, and a good handicraft shop when it opened, but the food was a disappointment. My husband's breakfast was greasy and ordinary; mine was bland and dismal, with the sourdough toast barely toasted and soggy....More

This is a fascinating place. They can sell you the stuff you need to card and spin wool; they can also teach you how to do all that. Nice cafe. Great selection of yarns.

Took a very elderly relative for afternoon tea. The staff were so caring and considerate, they couldn't do enough to help us. We did go to the counter to order but the staff would have been more than happy to have done everything for us....More

I wanted to buy a knitting pattern for some wool I had got overseas. The staff were very helpful and patient as I wasn't sure what it was I needed. Very happy to recommend this store to others and shop there again myself.
