A good walk unspoiled

This beautiful lake is worth the drive. Unspoiled and well maintained trail around the lake with fabulous views of the real Alaska.

Beautiful lake; quiet lush forest. Mostly flat with several short up and down patches. Not too steep.

We weren't sure about making the 40 mile round trip detour from our trip down from Fairbanks to Anchorage, however decided that we would go and wasn't disappointed. It was a really warm day - with clear blue sky and temperatures in the high 70s. It was a bit like stepping back in time, but in a good way. Easy... More

We had organised a photography orientated day tour and we visited this place. Despite the rain, it was interesting taking a gentle trail to the Beeman cabin and back. There was plenty of naturalist photography interest. Only problem was the bugs

We camped here for two nights. The campground was well laid out, quiet and the particular site we chose was very private. Facilities were clean and convenient. The lake is beautiful and the trail next to it was really nice to walk on in the morning. We rented a canoe from the onsite boat rental (they also rent open kayaks)... More

We stayed at the Princess Lodge near Trapper Creek and decided to take a late night hike around the lake. Beautiful views and the sky was reflecting off the lake with two swans swimming in the Lake. Hiked to the Suspension bridge and unfortunately the bridge was destroyed over the winter due to high water levels and ice collected on... More

A hidden gem often bypassed for the Alaskan Jurrassic Park i.e. Denali National Park. Denali State Park has it all...Byers lake has a suspension bridge to plop down on and watch salmon spawn below you. How cool is that????

Amazing scenery abounds in this area where rivers join each other. Great mountain vistas together with forests and lakes.
