If you're in need of something, stop in to Nagley's! Food, coffee, stock the kitchen, liquor, gifts, pretty much you name it and they have it. This is a "must" when you're in Talkeetna.

So this town has Stubbs the cat, elected Honorary Mayor. He hangs at the store most days but is getting older so he goes home earlier. The store is just like something u would find from years ago. Items u would never find anywhere else. Old trading station. And if you only need 10 paper plates, they got u! Need... More

A nice stop for almost anything. Cute little convenience store with a variety of small knick knacks and apparel upstairs. There is a liquor store next door and a restaurant out the back. The service is great and very friendly, one of your best bets to get a shot at seeing the mayor Stubbs or his right hand Denali :)

Actually met, and petted, the Mayor. Poor thing lost her tail! Grab a snack, check out the sundries....warm and welcoming.

Nagley's is a step back in time. It seemed like every nook and cranny had some relic from wild Talkeetna and wilderness Alaska.

The food here is great. The little restaurant is attached to the store in the back. But the story is about the only place in town where you can buy certain things and it's very overpriced. Their cat is famous. But we never saw him. He's the mayor of Talkeetna.

H. W. Nagley’s store, which opened in 1917 or 1918, moved to its present location at 13650 Main Street in 1945. It is still the town’s general store. Its crowded interior reeks of old-time atmosphere. You can purchase groceries there or go upstairs to check out their outdoor supplies. Furs, traps, snowshoes, and photos line the walls. Adding flavor is... More
