There are many options for seeing this natural wonder. There are many boat companies and resorts that will take you to the Leopard Ray Trench. We did this as part of a three dive trip and this specific dive was by far our favorite dive. If you have a SCUBA cert my recommendation is to make sure you dive this... More

One of the memorable things to do in Bora Bora is to swim with the sharks, sea rays and swim in the corals. The rays are plentiful and the black tip sharks swim around the sand bar you stand on. The deppth of the water is 4-5 feet and access off the boat is easy.

I have done Stingrays tours in other places but they seem to be lack of them. Here in this places you have many stingrays around you, plus the shallow water is easy to stand.

About 10 minutes of snorkelling to see 4 leopard rays in decidedly unclear water. For anyone who has done a lot of diving or snorkeling in other parts of the world, Bora Bora gets a 2 on a scale of 10.

Feeding nature is always a great experience, but a bit scary. I recommend visits to the Leopard Rays Trench.

We stopped on an all day tour to feed and pet the rays. There were big rays and smaller rays and they come right to you and glide up against you. Since you are in shallow water, you just shuffle your feet and let them come to you. It was amazing to see these creatures up close!

I had never imagined I would be caressing and touching small stingrays, let alone the big ones we encountered at Leopard Trench. the rays were so friendly and would cuddle their wing-like bodies to our own. There were some 4 to 5 foot black-tip sharks but they preferred to stay away from people. fantastic experience I will remember the rest... More
