Experience Alaska with Alaskans. Snowhook Adventure Guides of Alaska is a year round adventure tour company guided by professionals who will quickly become your friends on the trail. In the winter you can travel through the Alaskan wilderness by dog team or go snowmobiling beneath Denali. In the summer experience the same thrill of going for a dog sled ride, take an ATV tour in the mountains or go flight seeing. In any season you can also do all of the above. We're family friendly with half day and full day adventures.

very safe and fun experience!! dogs are very cute and guides are very kind! highly recommend if you're still confused on what to do outside of anchorage :)

My husband and I were in Anchorage for a conference and took advantage of the trip to experience Alaska. We wanted to dog sled - but found the overnight irresistible! It was extremely cold!! They provided winter gear for us - took care of all our needs and provided a wonderful once in a life time experience!! From dog sledding to snow mobile rides and a night sky like nothing you can imagine!! Every guide we met or worked with was amazing! Can’t say enough about this company!! Highly recommend!!

We had an amazing time visiting snowhook adventures. There was 5 of us (3 adults and two children). We got to meet the dogs, learn lot about mushing, and take a beautiful dog sled ride through the woods. It was very very cold when we went (-20degrees!), but snowhook had tons of warm gear for us to borrow and we’re very helpful about the best ways to stay warm. Before and after we’re two cozy cabins where we could get ready and then warm up. Our guides, Matt and Peter were fantastic and so knowledgeable! Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend booking a tour with them!

we could not have had a better adventure!!! I got this for Boyd for his birthday..he loved it. We felt very welcomed from everyone. We were happy to be the first guests in the new cabin and enjoyed speaking with everyone. Marianne was helpful with the booking and when we arrived she welcomed us with joy. Pete was our guide on the dogsledding and he was great..both with us and the doggiesl ( we learned a new phrase.." Embrace the suck)...lol Pete. Jeremy was helpful with transportation and very friendly &cooked us a wonderful dinner!! We enjoyed sitting and chatting with Rebecca..such a wonderful vision you embraced and bought to fruition.Jeff provded a fun snowmobilie adventure(even though Boyd went off track a bit) and his knowedge about the Aurora, Alaska in general and his personality were all awesome!!! We cannot thank you enough. Great folks and a wonderful expereince!!!

What an amazing experience. Dog sledding in Alaska has been on our bucket list and man oh man it was a great time. This memory we will hold dear and tell others it is a must adventure. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

The dogs sleding was Epic! Peter was our guide and was awesome.
Snowmobiling was fantastic. Incredible views. Jeff was an enjoyable host. Good instructor on the snowmobile. Definitely knows his stuff on the Northern Lights. Deep dive type stuff. I really can't speak highly enough of the organization.
I would definitely come back and would recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely incredible! The whole experience was marvelous. We did the dog sledding and snow mobile combo. Loved every minute of it. The guides were fun, engaging, super knowledgeable. The scenery is breathtaking. Definitely want to come back.

What lovely day. The dogs were not at all scary and enthusiatic. Jessie, our musher was skilled and knowledgeable and eilling to share. Exciting. Would certainly go again and do some of their other adventures. We used their transport partner, George, drove very safely on icy roads and was also great racconteur.

This was a peak Alaskan experience! Definitely in our top three of all time excursions here, along with seeing the Aurora in Fairbanks and climbing on Matanuska Glacier. Justin was our guide and he was absolute perfection. Just the right amount of miss behaving and having fun but also keeping us safe. We cannot recommend this dog sledding trip more highly.
