Considering this is a free city park I have loads of fun here. The best time to get there is in the morning as it’s cooler. The snowbird months can get a little hectic though. Decent lanes and covered tables. You need to bring your...More

Great food, great atmosphere, great decor. I believe our waitress was sherry (?) so attentive, great service, great personality. We did breakfast for 8 of us- and everything was outstanding!! Love this range. Free. Road is now paved out to it. Nice seperate areas to shoot. You provide your own targets, ammo and guns. There is nothing to setup targets on. We use boxes or home depot Buckets.

This is a free UN-STAFFED outdoor firing range. Your safety depends upon you watching those around you. On December 29 around 2PM we arrived at the Casa Grande Public Range. Not crowded but enough shooters present. Crease fire work well for everyone to set their...More

Nice area with some overhead shelters to protect you from the Arizona sunshine. Plenty of room for chairs and your own portable tables. Some stations have mounted shooting tables, others do not. First come first served. We were there on a Tuesday and it was...More

There are several shooting points with barriers between sections. Some have a shooting table, others free standing. Most are covered positions. Because it is a free place to shoot you get all kinds of folks there. I have never seen unsafe practices, but with beginners...More

This is a good place to practice and hone in your skills. Bring your own ice chest with drinks ( NO Alcohol) and have fun. But please remember to pick-up after yourself & go early it gets hot out there in the afternoon.

All the people that use this gun range are courteous and respectful. The City of Casa Grande has used funding in an excellent manner in this facility. I saw a really poor review of this on ABC 15 that couldn't have been a worse presentation....More

I do not recall any posted hours for the range. As long as the gate is open I believe you should be able to use the range. Exercise appropriate caution at all times for your safety and the safety of any others that may be... More

Good question. I have never seen any young people shooting there by themselves, but have seen several in company of older people. Might call the park rangers office (520)421-8277. Good luck and happy safe shooting.

I believe you can begin shooting at 7 a.m. but I'm not sure when it closes. You should call the range at 520) 421-8677.
