The gallery is in the same group of buildings as the main offices of the Basha grocery store chain, it looks uninspiring outside and there are signs telling you to get a visitor pass immediately. But once inside, the admission is free and you don't need a pass for the gallery. The collection of western and native American art is... More

If you like western art at all you HAVE to make the time to see this place. I am not even a great fan of true western art style and I know I was totally mesmerized for about 4 hours. The collection beats anything that I have ever seen in a museum and I think it's probably better than the... More

We and another couple went to visit this art gallery today. It has fantastic art depicting the American west and the Native American culture. There are sculptures, wooden sculptures, woven baskets, and art of all medias. Some of large paintings are so real looking that they appear to be of photo quality but they are all hand done. Every piece... More

This was such a treat to find.I wasn't sure what we would find here, but I was ever so pleased to see all the art. What an amazing collection of western art. Old masters, new Native American pieces, and the largest basket display I have ever seen. What a wonderful gift this place is.

I visited this amazing cowboy museum expecting a ho hum experience and instead I was swept into the past among the cowboys and Indians of the 1800s. Looking at the amazing artwork -- over 3000 pieces -- I felt the emotions of the Old West: the loneliness, the courage, the sense of awe and wonder, the heartbreak and despair, the... More

I was told about this collection by a woman I chatted with while waiting for my flight to be cancelled in Orlando (that's another story). She mentioned this collection and said it was a must see. I looked it up and I totally agree it is a MUST SEE. My hostess, who lives in Phoenix had never heard of it... More

This place is a little gem in Chandler. It is bigger than expected with many different hallways and nooks. There are so many beautiful pictures and sculptures that tell the history of our great country.

Took the mother in law here with my wife as my mother in law wished to see it. I was a good sport about it. This is one of the finest Art Museums that I have ever visited! This is basically one man's collection and he had a great eye! So much stuff that it is truly overwhelming. Do not... More
