Relaxing massage in the great outdoors
Apr 2018 • Couples
It was a balmy day today with the usual nip in the air ..that only the Wild Coast has. Being a long weekend we spent a day as day trippers to the wild coast sun.
Mangwanani has beautiful outdoor massage stations over looking the fantastic beach and coastline right in front of the pools so while the dads and kids play mum can sneak away in front for a relaxing massage.
I opted for a half hr foot and leg massage...it was worth the 150 because the masseurs wete working on the holiday. Just taking in the beautiful scenery and crisp beach air was both refreshing and rejuvenating
Please do support the masseurs and mangwanani.

Not a real spa - cheap service for premium prices
Dec 2015
The kiddies' spa of the same name at the water park is spectacular and probably one of the nicest I've ever seen. However, the spa in the actual hotel is horrid. It seems nice from the outside but it's management and staff are terrible at their jobs. It sounds harsh but frankly, given the other spas available in the South Coast, this is an absolute rip off. Don't expect tranquility, relaxation and professionalism. Don't expect good management services.
To expand, the adult spa is chaotic... I walked out midway through a massage and said that they must give me spa products in lieu of the finished treatments. I was reasonable and polite and yet the entire staff stood watching me and gossiping about me. Which is why I said they should give me products as I wanted to get away. I left the similar price range - plus they have properly qualified staff that have trained for years to become therapists.

Spa experience of a lifetime
Oct 2015 • Couples
My partner and I have visited this establishment twice since its inception. The second visit was as good as the first one.

The therapists are experienced and talented, which makes for a relaxing spa retreat. I actually fell asleep during the full body massage & if there was one other treatment that could top this it was the foot massage.

I never miss an opportunity when staying at the wild coast sun to visit the spa facility.

The one issue i did however have was the attitude of the female manager on site. Having come face to face with me a paying guest she did fail to greet nor acknowledge my presence on two different occasions. She would like the staff to set an example failing to realise the example should start with her.

Regardless of her poor behaviour i will visit the establishment on my next visit, which can not be soon enough.

Best Golf Course on the South Coast
Aug 2015
By far the best conditioned course on the South Coast. Stunning views, slick greens and manicured fairways made this the highlight of the tour!

Take the lady ball spotters, well worth it. They really try, helpful with distances, green lines and quite humorous!

Clubhouse was poorly stocked and disappointing. Halfway was ok with great views.

Hope to return soon to stay and enjoy the waterpark which we missed out on...and golf course again.

VISIT TO PARADISE
Aug 2015 • Family
The venue is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful - particularly the Towel attendant - Majozi. She is a real treasure and absolutely brilliant with the kids. We've been visiting the resort for many years and she has consistently been the STAR performer year after year!

Lights, money (loss), action
Jul 2015 • Family
OK, its a casino...so it's about flashing lights, money sounds (mostly I guess it being lost), and not stop action. If that's your thing then it's not a bad destination. It is a little tired after its heydays many years ago, but is still set on the magnificent Wild Coast. It's jut a pity that you can't actually see much of the view unless you get right outside, through trees etc.

A few years ago the casino built a waterpark - this is really worth a visist, as it has some excellent rides. Inside the casino the restaurants are rather poor - there used to be many more interesting options - now its mainly fastfood places so you can eat and get back to the gambling.

There is also a lovely golf course, so that is another option for those spending some time in the area, but overall I would not put it high on my places to see...although the surrounding coastline is stunning...and that is worth seeing.

So disappointed!!!!
Apr 2015 • Family
I am so tired of feeling ripped off!!!! Wild Coast is not the cheapest to play golf and yet it is quite a fantastic golf course. I have been going there for five years to play with my local club as one of our annual golf comps. The half way is shocking, for five years they serve the same revolting food, build your own burger or hotdog!, there is nothing healthy and all the "fresh" add on look like they have been prepared a week ago....the ladies change room never have enough towels(normally I need to ask for towels) no shower gels or shampoo, the spotter we had this week had no idea what she was doing. She spent most of her time chatting to the other spotter she came across on the course. Last year two of our golf mates were robbed on one of the par three's!!! The security did nothing to help. Southern Sun seriously needs to jack up there service and stop living on there good OLD reputation..........

Water Park Fun But Overpriced
Jan 2015 • Family
The Wild Coast's new water park may only have a handful of slides, but is a lot of fun when you're not waiting in lines. Luckily, I went just after the schools went back so the park was relatively empty. However, it is ridiculously overpriced to get in (you have to pay for parking per person and then again to get into the park). You also can't bring in any of your own food or drink, so you pay more than twice the price than you would in a local supermarket for cool drinks and sandwiches. However, if you're staying nearby and have money to spend, it's a nice day out and a great alternative to the beach.
