Never knew how beautiful and long this river is. Need to spend more time more often. We enjoyed the cruise and all the valuable information. Loved the fact that we could have our own drinks and snacks. A very nice swim and the fish nibbling at the toes is quite an experience.

We are avid birders, so for us this trip was a must. The guide was really knowledgeable, explaining all about the flora and fauna and rock formations. He made a point of stopping to show us birds, and we had the luck to see a giant kingfisher. It is well worth a visit. If you are getting off the boat... More

I just loved this trip up the Keurbooms River. Part of the Keurbooms reserve the forest is undisturbed and indigenous - fascinating trees, llanas and stratified rock. No vehicles allowed so this is one of the only ways to see it - and it just takes you out of the modern world and into nature. Our pilot and guide was... More

We took my parents to go on one of these ferries when they came down to visit and it was absolutely amazing!!! The guide is extremely informative and has a wide general knowledge. You can take your own drinks and snacks with you and it is a very social vibe. Would definitely recommend this to anyone in the area!!!

Take a trip up the Keurbooms river in this open ferry. You will see Sea Eagles flying overhead, colourful Knysna Lourie's (if you're lucky), Pied Kingfishers and Blue Kingfishers, and a variety of other birds. Take your swimming costume, because when you reach Whiskey Creek at the furthest point on the river, you will definitely want to go for a... More

Russell is a fantastic guide and knows everything there is to know about this river. The cruise itself is very pleasant and we did see quite a few birds including Giant and Half-collared Kingfishers. Plenty of ice-cold beer on sale, too;-)

I had not been up the Keurbooms for a couple of years but we decided to take a trip recently. You can hire a boat or take a ferry (with guide). We hired a boat and took a slow trip up this lovely river. The scenery is beautiful and there are several sandy beaches along the way where one can... More

Wow! This is a MUST! We came here renting a small boat you can drive yourself without any licence. Went along the river to a nice spot for a picnic and a swim. Lovely scenery so beautiful with birds chirping all over.
