Wild Cat Experience Tour

17 reviews
Learn about the lives of South Africa's wild cats on a 1-hour guided 'experience' tour of Tenikwa Wildife Centre, along the country's Garden Route. Enter the habitats of various cats such as cheetah and caracal and get up close with lions and leopards while your guide provides details on each species and their roles in the environment. You'll also have an opportunity to see meerkats, marabou storks and visit a penguin splash pool. This walking tour is ideal for families or anyone wanting to learn more about these carnivorous creatures.

The 10 lm walk up and downs exhausted me , with my back and knee problems still mange to do it. The views are breathtaking, birdlige is abundant, beautiful to watch the seals.

Robberg is undeniably one of the best hiking trails in the southern Cape. The moderately challenging nine-kilometre route offers splendid sea views, plentiful wildlife sightings (including seals and dassies) and brilliant fynbos scenery. There is a wonderful secluded beach along the route, as well as numerous vantage and resting points. Be sure to book in advance for the duration of the Covid-19 pandemic as there is a daily entry quota, and pack sufficient water, good walking shoes, sunscreen and a few snacks for along the way. Two shorter routes are also available, which ensures that the splendours of Robberg are accessbile to all. There are few places where one feels closer to nature than in amongst the unspoilt wilderness of this top-notch nature reserve. No trip to the Garden Route would be complete without a visit.

Apart from the chaos around ticketing and access, no doubt increased due to ever-changing covid regulations, it was a completely positive experience. Well laid out trail with ropes and rails to aid hikers; well sign posted and three distances to choose from. The beaches are unspoilt and absolutely beautiful. A must-visit!

Had a lovely outing here. The Gap route is super fast abs easy all on wooden walkways. Any of the further routes become more strenuous, you need to climb up rocks abs walk over sand along the beach. Lots of fun and offers beautiful views.

Really enjoyed this adventure. We were fortunate to have a private charter as there weren't any other people out and about on the trip. The charter company Ocean Blue were amazing. Charlie and Cam, thanks for an awesome adventure we really enjoyed it!
