Today we did the 4 hour hike to The Point. It had absolutely stunning views, including of hunting seals in the waters below and even a playful whale. The hike is supposedly 9.2 km long and should take around 4 hours. We logged 10.5 kms...More

Picked a lovely sunny day for our walk. There is a 80ZAR charge for a permit but so worth it. There is a choice of three circular walks which can be quite demanding at times but the scenery and experience were fantastic. Fabulous beaches for...More

R40 per person for access. Great views from the top. If you want to do the full trail, you will need at least 4 hours. It's lots of fun but you will need energy as well. Bring water with you and get your camera ready.

It was great to walk freely around the reserve as we had felt a little confined in Plett as we had to drive everywhere. Super views and unspoiled. You can see sharks trying to attack the fur seals at the base of the cliffs, and...More

The view are unbelievable. The whale and her small one entertained us with their presence. Unbelievable what the fire of July did to the vegetation. A must visit if you visit Plett.

Take half a day for the hike around the peninsula. Beautiful views on rocky shores and beaches. No catering options during the hike, so be sure to take your own refreshments and snacks.

Recommended that you don't start long walk after 14.00 but this would not be critical in summer, and at low tide. Long walk is estimated at 31/2 - 4 hours. But don't underestimate the walk - see recent comments.
