3 trails to choose from, took the middle one of 5.5 km which was pretty tough in the heat of the day with many steep and rocky climbs but is worth it for the views and the seal colony (you hear and smell them before you see them!)

The 3 of us (couple and 11 yr old son) did the middle length trail, approx 5.5km, it took about 2 hours. We are a fairly fit family. It was a wonderfully varied trail, different scenic views around every corner. It includes fairly steep climbing (handrails and man made steps where necessary), sandy and stony paths, some rocky scrambling and... More

The trail is well marked and maintained. Views across the bay to the undulating mountain range beyond, leave one feeling contemplative and deeply satisfied. There are a few stretches of soft sand traversing so beware if troubled in ankle or hip regions. The walk can be done in 2 hours if going half way or 4 if doing the full... More

We went there a couple of days ago but it was quite misty first thing so we went back in the afternoon. We took the left fork at the cross over path and climbed up to tremendous views. My husband is a little nervous of heights but the only part that is a bit difficult was not very long. He... More

You pay a small sum to enter and there is extensive parking. All done to a high standard. Fantastic cliff, bay and sea views. If you can and are energetic, take advantage of the longest walk trail. Well worth an extensive visit but OK just to admire the views from the car park

Decided to do the 9km route. Make sure if you do the same you have proper footwear. Families should definitely stick to the shortest route. For the serious folk completely worthwhile.

We went here today and it completely exceeded my expectations. The views of the sea, island and beach are amazing. There are three trails of various lengths and we went on the shortest one as we're not serious hikers although I think if you're relativlely fit you'd be fine. I'd certainly have had a go at the longer trails a... More

Fantastic small nature reserve. Very green, surrounded by the ocean. We went for the short hike here and we almost regretted we didn't come earlier to have time to go for the long hike. If the weather is good (blue sky) then this is a nice place to hang around!

This has to be one of the most beautiful seaside walks in South Africa! Trails are well marked and depending on your level of fitness and sense of adventure there are three loops of varying distance that can be walked. The short loop will take you to the most amazing beach area and this will only take around an hour... More
