Robberg nature reserve is a true gem. Beautiful views and two wonderful hikes for beginners or advanced hikers. There are also two or three chalets you can overnight in booked through Cape nature. A definite must if you visit Plettenberg Bay.

So we visited the 'reserve' and we were not sure what to expect. It was a hot day so take water with you. The walk varies depending on your fitness. You can walk the whole way found, between four to five hours. However we only managed half way, due to the heat and the fact that we had not acclimatised... More

If you want stunning views and the chance to see (and hear) a large seal colony, this is the place to go. My top tip is to check the tides as the long walk is probably inaccessible at high tide. There are three different lengths of walk, but all start at the same place. Take water and a snack with... More

Took the Robberg walk (1.5-2hr) with the family and enjoyed wonderful sights of Plettenberg Bay. A big highlight was seeing the large group of seals frolicking in the sea (almost 100) and bird life. The key is to take lots of water and to take your time to take in the sights.

Three possible walks and all pretty strenuous. Wonderful views all round. The sea crashes against the rocks in one place and then a tranquil beach with dunes around the corner.

This is an amazing day out with splendid views over the ocean and Plettenberg Bay. Familys with very small children have the option to complete a less streneous walk whilst the adventurous can opt for the advanced walk. Traverse on pathways, rocky areas as well as beach and sanddunes. Take enough water and nibbles to keep energies refuelled. Make sure... More

Walking in the Robberg NP was absolutely beautiful with breath-taking scenery. We got the opportunity to see a large shark swimming in the waters below the cliffs near to the seal colony. We did the half walk and crossed over to the Island. It combined, natural scenery, sand dunes, beaches, cliffs and wooden walkways. Thoroughly enjoyable walk!

We took a drive to the reserve to hike out the peninsula and it was well worth it. Beautiful scenery and gorgeous views. Very manageable hike but wirth bearing in mind it would be tough with kids as several areas that they would need to be carried.
