Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Love the whale trail bench and the views. We didn’t see any whales but it’s a charming and serene viewpoint. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

The view is incredible. We actually saw dolphins twice and it’s absolutely incredible. It’s very therapeutic and peaceful.

This is a spectacular view point looking right down Plettenburg beach which is well worth stopping at on a lovely day, which we did.

This lookout point gives visitors an aerial overview of the town, its beaches and the Robberg Nature reserve as well as the Keurbooms river and adjacent areas.

A lovely spot to look down on the Lagoon, the ocean and the long stretch of beaches. You can also walk down to Lookout Deck restaurant from this car park (but not recommended at night)

Take the Church St turn off from Main St, turn left into Formosa street, then follow the signboards. A jaw-dropping panoramic vista of Plettenberg Bay awaits! A bonus is that the "whale tail" provides surprisingly comfortable seating!

A short walk up the hill from the main Plett beach this gives you a fantastic vantage point to see the ocean and the surrounding beaches. I went there twice and both times there were, very skilled, surfers just down below the viewpoint. There is a detailed map, an excellent information point about whales, lots of benches to sit and a small car park so either driving or walking here is possible.

Good spot to take in Plet Bay and some of the beaches. This is elevated above the beach and a short climb from a nearby beach bar. But it is accessible by car and has a small parking lot.
