We had a wonderful trip and Anton, our guide, was excellent and welcoming. I recommend Mmilo Tours for its personal touch and flexibility. Anton went out of his way to ensure we had everything needed. He knew the park quite well and offered a personal touch to everything we did.
Bakubung Lodge was also *wonderful.* Our biggest regret is not staying there longer! The food was really nice and the "proper braai" after our evening safari was a wonderful, authentic experience. We had a basic room, and it was roomy, spacious, and offered plenty of natural light. There was a full tub and shower, with plenty of hot water after a nice day in the park.

A fantastic tour! We were searching for something special to do to celebrate my wife's birthday, so we booked the Elephant/Monkey Sanctuary Tour. And folks, we found it here! The experience was UNFORGETTABLE!! We not only got to view the elephants and monkeys. We got to interact with them by feeding them and walking with them. We were even allowed to touch the elephants. Priceless!
Anton was our guide, and he was phenomenal! His knowledge and passion for Johannesburg and the surrounding areas heightened our experience beyond our expectations. He enlightened us with historical and cultural information and was happy to answer all of our questions. He even assisted us in finding great lunch venues and African markets. He also recommended other things to do/ see during the tour. Because Anton was such an excellent guide, we ended up booking the Johannesburg/Soweto tour to complete our stay: definitely, a must before you leave SA!

Anton was great! He picked us up from our hotel at 4:30 AM and gave us some background about South Africa on the two hour drive to the park. He also planned a coffee stop which was needed!!
He helped us spot animals and drove to locations after hearing the types of animals we really wanted to see. The three of us asked many questions but he was always happy to answer all questions!
Definitely recommend this tour and using a private tour for an adventure like this!

Our guides will always make an extra effort to make your day in the wild enjoyable and yes indeed lots of travelers particularly those traveling in connection with work find this the best option. Also for Cape Town visitors as there are no safaris ( worthy of the name) down there.

We organized a 3 night Safari at the Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge and the Pamaroma route from Joburg to the Sabie with Mmilo, and it was such a fantastic tour!
Anton was our guide during the Panorama Route, and he was great! He is very knowledgable, friendly, fun and informative, and we really spent a great day with him!
The stop in Hazyview at the Elephant Whisper Sanctary was also amazing.
In the Sabie Reserve, the bush lodge is just fantastic- great guides, amazing food, but most of all the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful wildlife with the right pace and tranquillity (we spent a full hour with a leopard chasing an impala, just an example).
Highly recommended!

I had a great experience with Willem, I decided to maximise my trip (as I only had one day) by having both a sunrise and sunset safari.
Willem was very knowledgable about the wildlife which made the trip fascinating and educational. I benefits from a private trip experience so it was gxreat to be able to stop and observe the wildlife as we saw fit.
I also felt very safe on the drive back and forth from J'burg with Willem at the wheel.
Highly recommended.

While I had been to Pretoria once before,this tour was the first time I got to see the Kruger House Museum and the Voortrekker Monument with it's carved history scenes of the settling of South Africa.Wilem made these visits come alive with his commentary.It was a history lesson.He dropped us off at the airport and even helped with our bags.A wonderful day.

I was very happy with the program and support by Norman from Mmilo Tours. I got a lot of very detailed information and instructions upfront and everything was confirmed shortly before my trip. All mails got instant feedback and booking and payment process was easy and secure. All transfers, tours (Blyde Canyon) and safaris (Kruger sunrise and sunset game drive) were on time and an enjoyable experience. I liked it very much and was very happy with the service. I would always consult Mmilo Tours if I was taking another trip.
Just Pestana Lodge wasn't in the best shape. It seemed to me that the lodge has gotten old and renovations and maintenance are very necessary. They had a massive flood before I got there but stained furniture and service which did not pay attention has nothing to do with a flood. But that is not on Mmilo Tours.

Our group of four booked a 3-day luxury tour in Kruger National Park with Mmilo Tours, working specifically with Norman Lok. Unfortunately, just as we were traveling to Kruger, the weather and massive flooding there resulted in our lodge at Kruger being shut down very quickly (guests at our lodge were being evacuated by helicopter!). Norman persevered in trying to contact us about this situation at Kruger; however, he was unable due to our group not having access to wifi (due to a combination of load shedding and air travel on our part). That didn't stop Norman -- he actually intercepted our group at the airport before we boarded our plane to Kruger. And within just a few hours before he intercepted us, Norman booked an entirely different 3-day luxury safari for us at a different national park (Plenisberg) where weather was not an issue. We had an absolutely amazing experience on our newly booked safari in Plenisberg National Park. The staff, safari guide, and accommodations at Tshukudu Game Lodge were brilliant, providing an incredibly moving and profound experience for us. Our safari was an amazing end to our 2.5-week visit to South Africa, and our safari was everything and more that we were hoping for and needed. I cannot say enough positive things about Mmilo Tours, Norman Lok, and our lodge staff and safari guide. It. Was. Awesome.

It would be impossible to explain how incredible this tour provider is, but I’ll try.
We engaged Mmilo Tours for the 3-day Kruger NP private tour after extensive research of more than a dozen providers for a specific 3-5 day window. We engaged, booked specific flights within South Africa, and graciously, Mmilo added a morning drive before our flight out of Nelspruit on top of our previously arranged tour. Yes, it was reasonably priced…, but a significant amount for two couples. We paid everything before even entering RSA with knowledge of no refunds.
Then nature happened. Rain. More rain. Flooding. More flooding. The Crocodile River reached historic flooding levels and Kruger NP was closed. People in the park required emergency food, water & extraction.
However, we were located in Port Elizabeth the evening before taking two flights into Nelspruit. Given Stage 3 Load Shedding (blackouts), we were unable to receive communications via email, WhatsApp, etc.
Mmilo, and Norman Lok, arranged to change our tour to Pilanesberg NP. They arranged with our airline to intercept us in Johannesburg international airport; they caught us in time to prevent us from flying into the flooding.
Mmilo arranged everything to replace our Kruger experience in Pilanesberg NP. Everything.
Yes, we had to rebook, and purchase new flights back to Cape Town for our international flight itinerary, though otherwise, Mmilo made all necessary new travel arrangements to our private lodging in the bush!
Pilanesberg NP was incredible! Tshukudu Game Lodge was incredible, times 100! Bobo Malebye (our private guide) was spectacular!!!
I could go on, and on, and on…
BOTTOM LINE: you cannot book a better service than Mmilo. #period

Excellent tour from start to finish. The sanctuary was amazing, lots to see and do and very informative. The staff there were really helpful and very friendly. They were knowledgeable about all the animals and made sure the interactions were safe but exciting. Our transport was provided by Anton and he was also excellent and informative on all of South Africa. He took great care to make sure we had hats, water sunscreen and gave us lots of tips for the rest of our holiday. Thank you for a wonderful day it far exceeded our expectations.

Mmilo would be good for that. There's the Apartheid museum and Soweto in JHB and some nearby game parks. I always take people to the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre for the morning (adults) tour.

Hi, we are a couple (both 52) which will be in Pretoria for 3 days on our way to Cape Town. We would like to spend those days in most effective way and of course, safari is our top priority. The Pilanesberg is an excellent free roaming game reserve and is our 5th biggest in South Africa. It has the "Big 5" Lion,leopard, Elephant, Rhinoceros and African Buffalo roaming free as well as many other animals such as Giraffe, Hippo, Zebra, crocodile, Ostrich and many types of antelope to name a few.This would be the best choice for you. Mmilo Tours specialises in trips to the Pilanesberg so I suggest you contact Mmilo Tours for instructions on the best ways to get there and where to stay. Patrick

My boyfriend and I would like to come for a one day tour on one Saturday so we can see the wildlife animals. I would like to enquire about the price it would cost us, what time we would have to be there and can we pay when we get there or do we have to pay in advance, as in make a booking in advance? Good day to you. I think you are referring to the day safari to the Pilanesberg. We do not go everyday and only go when a trip is booked and paid for in advance. We usually pick you up at and address that you give us in Joburg or Pretoria and drop you back.The whole trip takes 11 hours there and back and this includes 6 hours on safari in the Pilanesberg. We can include a short visit to City but then the trip takes 12 hours. Lunch is included and this is at a stunning location where you can watch the animlas as you eat. The price for two is ZAR4500.00 or ZAR5200.00 if you include Sun City visit. If this is too expensive then I suggest you rather spend the day at the Rhino and lion Park which is closer to Jo'burg and if you have a car you can go there yourself or we can take you if you want and then the cost including lunch is ZAR3250.00,

We are 4 adults and 2 children aged 12 and 9, 3 generations of the family.
The adults are attending a conference at Sun City and that finishes on the 12th if March. We would then like to have the experience of game veiwing, but stay somewhere suitable for the children. We have 7 nights before we fly back to Australia and thought that we would have the last few nights in Johanesburg.
Do you have any suggestions that are not too expensive.
