Not a garden to admire SA flora. Security not friendly or helpful. Beehive/ butterfly area is indigenous Orchid house requires more signage and ground orchids not just epiphytic orchids.

A good option to spend a afternoon or a Sunday morning. Has a good variety of trees, flowers and plants and it is well cared. For kids is very nice, they can feed ducks and meet a lot of different plants that you can't find in Europe. Very good

Free to enter and you can spend as long here as you like. It is in one sense 'just a park' but it really is well kept and has some beautiful flowers, shrubs, trees and wildlife. There is a visitors centre where you can hire a guide to give you a tour on a golf buggy if you so wish,... More

Not only are these gardens perfect for a romantic couples picnic, a child birthday party, a family photo shoot, or just a solo stroll through the foliage... the atmosphere when going to a concert in the park is magical, busy, loud and the whole ground vibrates with the thud of dancing feet! UB40 was about my 3rd concert on these... More

The botanical gardens is an oasis in the middle of the concrete jungle. Any time spent wondering around the well kept and laid out gardens with the variety of bird life recharges my spirit. The orchid house is one of my favourite places to visit. At the end of your amble stop at the little coffee shop and enjoy a... More

Lovely picnic spot and can watch the birds in the small lake. Unfortunately no bikes and balls allowed.

Loved it. Peaceful. Relaxing. Beautiful rolling lawns where kids can be free. Birdlife was prolific and superb. Take a picnic and jus relax. Spend some outdoor time with the kids.

Well presented and nicely laid out. Visited 12 years earlier and was expecting to see some changes, but was really pleased to see that care and attention is still given. The orchid house is beautiful and the cycads are something special. We had an ice cream float in the cafe, that was the biggest let down as looked scruffy and... More
