Nice escape from the city

Very green and peaceful space in the middle of the city. Nice to sit on a bench and just have a chat. Beautiful flowers, trees, and foliage. Perfect way to spend a morning!

So thoroughly enjoyed the Botanical Garden. Right in the city of Durban, a peaceful, tranquil place to escape and relax. Clean and well maintained. Not sure how it is on a Saturday and Sunday but we went on a Friday and barely anyone around. So it was quiet and had an enjoyable walk. We did not have much time so... More

Gardens are all beautiful, but these gardens are special. I often take a book and just "sit". The birds come flocking in,and the whole place gives a wonderful sense of peace and beauty. Plus,I took my dogs on leashes..and if you're thirsty,or hungry, there is a small tearoom that serves delicious scones

A walk around the well kept gardens with birds and happy people rubs off on people. I leave the Gardens happy and relaxed.

I am 71 rears old and have been going to the Durban Botanical Gardens since I was a little girl, I remember going there on Sundays to feed the ducks. Since then I have taken my children, my grandchildren and now my great grandson. We have always ended our outing with the delicious scones in the tea garden run by... More

Not quite on Kirstenbosch proportions but this botanical garden is top notch for variety of trees and shrubs that are well labelled. The ponds provide a great haven for water birds and bishop birds whilst he canopy gives great space for the weaver birds. A well run cafe is also a must - A fabulous way to spend half a... More
