Lovely small reserve with a few types of animals and very nice picnic sites. The Zebras are very confident, and wander around quite close by! Affiliated with the CROW animal rehabilitation centre nearby, which does amazing work rehabilitationg injured and orpaned wild animals. Great walks for kids. Best to go in a medium to large group.

This small reserve is right on our door step just above yellowood park. It has beautiful hiking trails and cycle trails. There is some nice picnic spots with ablutions to just get away from the city life. There is a small castle/ house which is steeped in history and offers guided tours. Well worth a visit.

A very remote nature reserve but its decent for a visit. With some wildlife such as Zebra and bucks, one can have a first hand experience of a tame African wilderness.

Beautiful day out to Stainbank Nature Reserve for a picnic and a short hike. For those avid lanscape photographers, there's the beautiful foliage, streams, Zebra, Antelope and ofcourse birds to capture for your book of memories. A peaceful, realxing environment to picnic in one of a few picnic areas. Entry fee is R25 per person (please request for a receipt)

We initially wanted to bike round the park on the designated bike path, but being from abroad we didn't have any bikes and you can't rent any there. So we settled for the walk instead which was perfectly fine. There's a choice of paths to choose from and we spent around 3hrs there. There's a small amount of wildlife such... More

Not far to travel as quite centrally located, but would need own vehicle or taxi. Fabulous birding, and animals as well. The birding fraternity should visit early in the morning.

There are both grassland and coastal forest walks with plenty of birdwatching opportunities. There are picnic sites with facilities. As it is managed by the Ezemvelo Parks Board there is an... More
