What a great state park, you can see the river from most sites, large and spacious sites. Electricity and water only but there is a dump station on site. Public restrooms are clean and well maintained. Outside temperature 80 degrees water felt like in the high 60's, very refreshing

My aunt and I stopped for a picnic here a few years ago and I just HAD to bring hubby back. This park has everything: walkability, beach for wading, tie up for boats, views, London Bridge, benches, picnic tables, shade and sun, rest rooms, parking, people watching, concerts, dog park, did I mention VIEWS? Even a little history although I... More

Each day of our trip we chose a different place to view and take pictures of the sunset. We found that this location was a great place for the sunset. It was not crowded and basically had the entire beach to ourselves. Very clean and very relaxed atmosphere.

A very quiet place to relax during the week, just grab a floatie and away you go! Be sure to also bring along beverages as it is in the full sun.

Very nice state park with a bit of everyting. Paid $20 to get in but worth it and was able to go in and out for the day. Multiple beaches with beautiful white sand! Easy level hiking trail along the water and through some wooded area that we enjoyed. Multiple large camping/rv areas with bathrooms/showers. Also super cute cactus garden... More

We stopped at the State Park, to check it out. We travel with our dog, however, the dog was not allowed on the beach or in the water. I enjoyed the lighthouse replica, and we did watch the boats leaving the channel. Some men have some pretty awesome toys! We did have a picnic lunch at the park, and that... More

My daughter, and I went there for a few days for peace, and quiet, as well as for enjoyment. I loved the lake, and park areas. We stayed more than a couple of hours in May 2011. Your dates, and years aren't according to my times of travels.

Thank Debra M
