From the Three Rondawels viewing point this is a sight not to be missed. The height above the valley looking across to the Rondawels and looking down into the valley bottom towards the dam is breathtaking. This canyon is the 3rd largest in the world, the most greenest and what a sight to behold it is.

You have the three roundavels on one side and the blyde river canyon on the other. And what this combination gives you is scenic beauty which is hardly matched by other spots in South Africa 🇿🇦. Great views and the river shines against the backdrop of the sun ☀️.

We went to the public viewpoint for the Three Roundavels. You can get a good sense of the vastness of the canyon, as well as get a appropriate angles on the Roudavels for pictures from here. The green canyon is quite unique and spectacular. The red rock sheer cliffs offer a wonderful contrast. We spent about 20 minutes here between... More

We loved the views of the canyon and we felt this was the best attraction on the panoramic route. It is a pity that there are no ''longer'' walks around the canyon (like at the Grand Canyon). If you don't want to pay for the view you can stop at a look-out at the panoramic route and enjoy the Blyde... More

Beautiful scenic and worth the trip. Nice market off African art manufactured by the local community.

We where there in some foggy weather so the views where a little off (we saw about 2,5 roundavels max :)), but still a must see!

We were doing a tour of the waterfalls and visited this one. Well worth visiting. I don't feel that as you have to pay to visit this tourist site, the public toilets could be improved. Two ladies toilets, with no running water apart from an outside tap, and scores of tourist buses, is not really acceptable. We visited waterfalls that... More

As we came along the road from Graskop, just past the Lowveld view site we got our first glimpse of the magnificent Three Roundavels. Entrance was a mere ZAR20.00 per person which is in our opinion nothing in comparison to the glorious views of the Blyderiver Canyon, the three Roundavels and the Blyderivierpoortdam. The parking area is a short drive... More

There are 2 areas to really take in the views of Blyde Canyon. My husband sat at the edge of the rock in this photo for a fantastic background view. If you're not afraid of heights, this place makes you feel humble and appreciative of the amazing natural sites in South Africa. Great location for photos.
