Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were not sure what this experience will bring . We used Maas he knows the ocean of St Lucia . His years of experience made a big difference. We caught some nice size fish. We had two young boys with us and he assisted them and gave them a great experience catching some decent size fish . He provide everything we only need to bring our own lunch snack and drinks. We got to keep the fish and we had a lovely fish braai.

We did the deep sea fishing experience. We went out at 830am and came in for 1pm. Some of our party got sea sick as the waters were very rough. For almost 5 hours of fishing we only caught one fish - barracuda. The other two boats that went out the same day as us caught nothing. The guide on board did everything for us. But we wanted to experience the fishing they did all the rods and all the baiting. The only thing we did was say their for 5 hours and waiting for a bite. We heard it was not the right season to go out to deep sea fish. So if you want to make sure you are in the right season to deep sea fish. We were disappointed that we were sick and that we only caught one fish and that we weren't able to set up the lines or bait the lines. T was very expensive. $500 for 5. Make sure it's deep sea fishing season before u spend the big bucks. We we were happy we caught one lol.

Fantastic time with Maans onboard Asterix. Starting early in the morning with an exciting surf launch, then catching bait fish before the main focus of the day. Price includes all tackle and bait, but bring your own drinks and lunch, as well as sunblock (although there is some shade available). We caught a lot of king mackerel this time and had a delicious supper. Maans can also assist with accommodation and is very good company, pointing out lots of other wildlife and great fisherman's stories. We'll be back!!

We went with Moons. Quite an adventure to launch the boat from the beach. The boys had a great time. Mum should have stayed at the beach. Great catch as well. Excellent skipper and great fisher!

What is the best island out of St. Lucia, St Maarten, St. Kitts, Barbados or Antigua, to go deep sea fishing? We are doing a Caribbean cruise in February and could use some suggestions. Just looking for a good time for 3 guys as our wives will do something else for the day.
We are thinking about visiting in February, what would the average cost be to charter a boat. I'm not sure if it would be a full day of fishing or half yet, and also what would we be able to catch during that time?
Thanks in advance for the info.

Estimate $300 to $600 for private charter for 1/2 day or 3/4 day, less for shared. Billfish are available, and tuna, dorado are hitting then. Bottom fishing can get you grouper and snapper (tons of fun if you find a good spot).
We are sailing Royal Caribbean in May and would like to book a private charter fishing for Tuna, Whahoo, Mahi. My 2 sons are 37/41 self being 68. We are unsure of port in St Lucia as to what charters are nearby and can accommodate our port hours between 8am and 5pm on the 13th.English speaking. Not looking for a drinking trip, but a great experience and good memories. Who do we see? Any info would be appreciated. James

Mystic Man covers lots of options for fishing, snorkeling, sunset cruises on various types of boats.
We are sailing Royal Caribbean in May and booked their deep sea fishing charter. No reviews on this and limited information from them. Can anyone tell us
if this would be a good adventure or would we be better to book our own? One problem, I don't know where their port is in location to private charter. My husband and 2 sons are anxious to do this together. Sons are older and very big into sport fishing. Thank you for any info. Gayle

Royal Caribbean is connected to good charters, and they make it convenient. But you can find your own - Cpt Mike's, Hackshaw's and Mystic Man are recommended, but there are other very good folks doing charters.
