The Valley of Waves is the central feature of the Lost City at Sun City. It is one of the most advanced water parks in the world, dominated by the Roaring Lagoon. When waves are not generated, a bobbing cycle is generated in a diamond pattern.  All Resort residents enter the park free of charge by presenting their resident cards. Strange feeling when you come here. Sand is white, but is not a sand at all. Quite painful to walk. Slides are nice, but some quite dangerous. I felt out tube inside one slide, if it would happen in the middle of slide-it might end up badly. No connection btw low and upper level lifeguards-people just jump into slide. Be... More

My first visit in 16 years. Was very nice. Everybody working there was so friendly -this was refreshing. facilities are starting to need revamp,as you can start noticing cracks on some of the slide and marbelite of pools starting to need attention. We still had loads of fun and hope to return.

Definitely a great place to spend the day! A few thrilling new rides, an adults-only area (King's pool), a food court and a craft brewery.

My husband and I went there only once during our stay at the Palace and it was awesome! Easy to use lockers and towels for rent. The lazy river was nice as was the wave area. They had a lovely place for kids and the water slides looked cool, but we didn't go on them.

Awesome setting, and as good as any beach you will find at the seaside. Waves are well formed for body surfing and plenty of surroundings water rides for both adults and small children.

Be sure that your kids can swim and are confident in the water - then both old and young can have am amazing time at the Valley of Waves. The huge water slides were great as were many of the other rides/slides available.

Lots of shaded places to chill with the kids, nice pools and exciting water slides- give yourself a whole day for this one. Sky train must be fixed asap as access with pram was a nightmare!! Parking/access too pricey also as you then have to pay for the pool entry too.
