If you're looking for glitz and glamour and modern style, then move right past this place. The Labia has a unique charm to it. It is old and perhaps even a little chabby, but it feels like you can truly disappear into the movie -...More

Seeing a movie at the Labia is like going back to the 1940's. Such amazing character and friendly service. The choice of movies is 'Art' House in and intimate and homely setting, not like the generic and lifeless mall cinemas. Highly recommended.

Absolutely a joy watching movies at the labia. The best thing besides that its affordable is that you could get a alcoholic slushy! I would recommend The Labia easily its much better than the more commercial cinemas.

My first choice when viewing a movie in Cape Town. I love the old world style ticket office and refreshment kiosk selling fresh popcorn. The staff members have all been working years for years. The café sells light meals, nibbles and drinks – which one...More

Super affordable movie theatre. The staff is friendly and welcoming. When you go to watch the movie you feel like you are in a community with the other filmgoers. Theatres are small but chairs are comfortable.

Not being Italian or South African, I naturally tittered a little at the name when I saw it on the map. I thought it was probably some kind of edgy, hipster place with a postmodern sense of humor. So imagine my surprise (and subsequent shame)...More
