I climbed up without much research and expected it to be a little cold. which it wasn't at all (October 2016) . Wear comfortable shorts and do not bother to carry anything other than water (not available anywhere midway) . top of the mountain there is a cafe and souvenir shop (not over expensive surprisingly). The hike route is well... More

We knew we wanted to hike up Table Mtn and am so glad I found Hike Table Mountain tours website. From the moment I contacted them, they were very responsive. I told them we were experienced hikers and wanted a strenuous hike. We opted for a private hike and our guide, Liesl, was so terrific! She pointed out different floral... More

My husband and I decided we wanted to hike up Table Mountain and we are so thrilled with our decision to do so. We met our guide, Liesel R., at around 6:30 and started the trek up. Because it was early (before the cable car opened) and a Monday were all alone on our hike up which made the experience... More

Just enough challenge, rewarded with a beautiful view at the top! Moderate hike with some steep passes- about 1.5-2 hours with breaks and a beer at the top.

A 6.15am pickup by Hendre who whisked us to the Indian Venster hike start point (near the cable car bottom station). From there you get a great view of the dawn rising over Cape Town. And the view only gets better as you climb. Hendre was the perfect guide. Knowledgable about the flora (beware the killer coriander), and the fauna,... More

We did the India Venster trail with Hendré and it was our favourite thing in Cape Town. This trail is worth every second (if you are in good shape and are not scared of heights PLEASE book this trail), getting to the top was incredibly rewarding. Once we got back down (we had to do it by foot as well... More

My partner and I enjoyed a great early morning hike to the top of Table Mountain on the India Venster route with Johan last month. We booked this at short notice and were impressed with the response time from Hike Table Mountain via their Facebook page. We found this route to be reasonably challenging and interesting with a good variety... More

We had an amazing time trekking up the 12 Apostles on table mountain with Liesl- we will recommend it to all our friends as it was such a great experience. She really made it so much fun and informative, and such stunning surroundings which she knew so well. She made us totally comfortable and safe.

Husband and I - both 50 somethings - hiked up the 12 Apostle route with Liesl then Lion's head with Mike. Highly recommended both. Easy pick up and drop offs at hotel. The 12 Apostle route was pleasant and mildly challenging. Now know that ladders, chains etc are helpful, not scary. Beautiful views up the back side of Table Mountain.... More

We hiked up the India Venster trail with Riaan on a November morning. It was my first time hiking up a mountain and whilst the trail was a challenge Riaan put me totally at ease and I felt safe the whole time. He was an excellent guide. I would say you need a reasonable to good level of fitness to... More
