Seems to be a means to sell diamonds. Although somewhat interesting, not worth the time, especially if your in town on a short stay.

It is actually a diamond shop with a museum pretext. The guide / saleswoman was very nice showing no irritation when we made clear that we were not buying. And she was not pushy at all.

Not very informative. Dark displays and hard to understand the tour guide. More interested in selling jewelery.

This is an interesting place to visit but it is truly a route to Shimawnsky's jewelry store. The guides are knowledgeable about the history of diamonds and they eventually show you the jewels you can buy. They do not pressure you to buy which is nice. If you do not end up looking at the jewelry at the store, the... More

We had a lovely time with our guide, Heidy. It was great to see the different aspects of their process and learn the history. With all our comments and questions, the time went by fast and with much laughter.

On our last day in Cape Town and only some hours before heading to the airport we decided to go to the Cape Town Diamond Museum. Great idea. It is conveniently located in V & A Waterfront, inside a small shopping mall near the Clock Tower. We were hosted by Shame Stygger, a passionate and very well informed person. She... More

The Museum is situated in the Clock Tower Shopping Centre. We arrived at 11.45 and were booked into a tour at 12.30 to allow time for a large group to visit first. It is only a small museum and the tour took about 20 minutes. We were shown around by a guide who took just the two of us. Best... More

Asked around for directions and reached the place which is located near the clock tower. We were told it is 50 rand per person and when we were taking out our card they told us we could pay later.
