If it is windy in the rest of the city then this beach is always wind free. Good for people watching. The water is ice cold. Enjoy

Perfect for sunset picnics, the golden light just stunning. Soft salty sea mist from the ocean, refreshing and very beautiful beaches.

We went on the afternoon of Dec 31th, directly after hiking to Lion's Head (Clifton Beach is only a few minutes from there). The 'white and soft sand' beach is beautiful and the boulders are spectacular. Inmense rocks that bring a sense of more private...More

love, love! The beaches comprise of 4 areas. Fourth beach is the larger of the beaches. Just gorgeous to be out there and so close to the Grande Kloof boutique hotel - sheer perfection.

It's busy but clean, adding to the vibrancy. Stunning views, beach chairs to rent and ice cream sellers make this a good spot to watch the sunset after a afternoon dip.

Clifton beach number 3 remains our favourite beach in town! The boulders add some spectacular scenery to the white sand. Just be prepared: the water is freezing!

This location offers 4 different kinds of beaches. Everyone has it’s own character. The access is via stairs from the road above. It’s about 10 minutes away from Cape Town.

We had a car, but you can also use Uber--there are cabs everywhere to take you where you want to go near the Central Cape.
