My wife and I did the Bo-Kaap tour with Manni in March 2019. Short and sweet with just the right level and detail of information. The tour starts outside of Bo-Kaap but ends in the neighborhood; this gave us a chance to go back to...More

I did the 4 pm history tour (4:30 start). Ken really made the history of Cape Town come alive, along with insights to 'current affairs' with a multi-generation perspective. Very professional. Great activity. Also, he was easy to hear and understand.

We went on the Bo Kaap tour with WImarie and it was excellent - couldn't have asked for more! Everything was well arranged and as the Bo Kaap tour was so popular they split us into two groups with separate guides which really helped. We...More

We really enjoyed the tour, our guide is local and shared some historical events along with his family/friends experience. The walk duration was 90 minutes and was completed in the square were Nelson Mandela did the apartheid speach.

Our BoKaap tour was amazing! Loved the history. Great time. Super informative. The place has such a rich history that needs to be learned! [From USA, Washington, DC]

We did Historic Cape Town with Ken and Apartheid Cape Town with Gervais this week. Both did an excellent job of describing different aspects of this beautiful city that we have come to love over the last 15 years, so I can’t understand why we...More

Great way to see this complex city and get a locals perspective. Get off the tourist trap of fancy hotels and manicured waterfront cafes and see the real city, including cultural pockets like Bo Kaap. Learn about history of this distinct group, local cuisine and...More

Enjoyable way of seeing & learning about the city. Tour guide could have been a bit more descriptive about the cultural aspect but still a good tour.

I can't say I'm afraid because I've done only one tour. However I have visited Bo Kaap independently and I believe that the tour there must be wholly different from the other two. I think you may feel more comfortable in Bo... More
