We spent an absolutely wonderful morning with Percy. I had prepared myself not to see anything but we saw our first whale within a few minutes. We also went to the whale museum which was great and we learnt so much information which made the whale spotting even better. The cliff top was an exhilarating place for whale watching and so beautiful in its own right. Percy’s enthusiasm was infectious and he is extremely knowledgeable and fun. I highly recommend going on this trip. Thanks so much Percy. This has been a highlight of our trip.

Everything that Percy and Tanya arranged for us was done promptly, professionally and with great care and attention to our specific requests. This included whale watching on a helicopter flight and the following day on a boat trip and the next day a complete tour of the Hermanus area and land based whale watching. Tanya was in touch throughout the year leading up to our holiday and all the time whilst we were in Hermanus due to the tricky weather conditions affecting the area. I would highly recommend Percy Tours to anyone seeking a great experience in Hermanus and the region. Percy’s knowledge is immense and he tells you about the whales, the history of Hermanus and the local wineries, in an amusing and informative way. We had great fun during our time with Percy Tours.

Percy organised a whale watching trip and a township tour for our family. Both the tours were excellent. We were very fortunate with the weather for the whale watching and saw loads of whales and the township tour with Willy was an experience we will not forget. However what stands out with Percy is the service he gives beyond the tours he is selling. Communication is excellent and he was happy to advise on all aspects of our trip beyond what he was booking for us - restaurants for lunch , driving routes, day trips .... If we had more time, we would definitely have booked more with him. Highly recommend. Thank you Percy

I never made the tour, but loved the proactivity of Percy in advising us that the pre-paid tour would probably not happen due to weather conditions and providing us with a full refund. He could have just told us nothing, picked us up, and blamed the weather (it was 50/50 chance). Still, he proactively contacted us and gave us his honest opinion, even though it was not the best financial option for him. Tourism is about leaving people happy and ensuring their time is spent the best possible way. Percy definitely made that for us.

We were unable to do the boat trip we had booked due to the weather.
We met Dave at the whale museum & he took us in his truck to some amazing spots along the bay to see the whales. As a result we not only saw the animals but also some of the beautiful coastline!
We thought we got some really great sightings but Dave was disappointed as he said the weather was hampering our trip & they usually come much closer! We were very happy with what we saw so on a good day it must be breathtaking.
Dave is a really great person with lots of knowledge, not only about the whales & the area but he also gave us some really great tips for the other places along the garden route that we were visiting. Thanks Dave & thanks Percy tours.

Boat Tours cancelled because of strong wind...
So I preferred to join this tour and met with Dave, he is very intelligent man, he knows where to go, he took me to some places and cliffs to see the whales very close...
Do not think to ask their help if you want to see Whales, they are very experienced...

We took an afternoon wine tour with Percy. Percy was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We took in two vineyards on an afternoon tour and fitted in lunch with that! He talked us through the history of wine in the Cape and the Hermanus area, the climate and terrain of the region and the grapes of the area. We sampled lots of great wine and he made the trip enjoyable for the kids we had dragged along. He also gave great local advice and helped us plan and book our next days activities!

Since we only have one day in Hermanus, I was wondering if it’s possible to combine a whale watching trip with a shark cage diving trip in one day?

Hi Guy, thanks for your message - yes you can do both activities in 1 day - Shark trip first (3 to 4 hrs trip) and then Whale watching boat trip (2.5hrs) - but most people are SO cold and tired after 1st boat trip, that 99% of people cancel their 2nd trip for that day - so it is highly advisable to stay the night in Hermanus split up the boat trips to 1 per day - if that's not possible, then there is 1 Whale Watching boat that will circle the Great White Shark watching boats for 15mins and you might see a shark (not guaranteed) - very many thanks, chat soon, Percy :-)))

Hiya - the Whale season is June to late November. We did have an incredible season in 2017 with over 600 Southern Right Whales along our coasts, so fingers crossed its equally as amazing in 6 to 7 months time. Many thanks

Hi Neaje thanks for your message - yes there will be whales, however they start to depart in Nov as they are really hungry after 6 months here with no food - the mothers for example can lose 20 tons in weight giving milk to their babies.
