About
Relatively short walk, only 3.6km. The hills and descents are very steep. Be sure to take your camera and eats because when you reach the Homtini River the rewards are satisfying and you will want to spend some time there. The waters of the river...more

Quite an intense walk, not for the faint hearted, but we'll worth the walk to see waterfall and rock pools for a cool down dunk. But then to face the challenge it's all uphill from here. Phew

It felt like a scavenger hunt trying to get there or the information where it is located exactly. (perhaps just my own stupidity). However I've added Screenshots where you can get the permit. Almost 100rand per person, and you can walk several of the trails...More

What a great hike. It was quite steep at certain places, but the ropes helped a lot and it was well marked. Perfect place to go in summer with the ponds filled and stunning!

If you’re wondering where to go to get the best Knysna experience, Dripkelders is the place to go to! A beautiful hike down to the beautiful fresh waters of Knysna, complete with waterfalls and the most thrilling energy from nature.

The 4 of us did Drupkelders and enjoyed every minute. Some of the sections will be challenging as they are steep and slippery. Fortunately SAN parks provide ropes for the most difficult sections. We swam in the pools at the bottom (brisk, chilly but great...More

We were staying in one of the neighbouring cottages when we heard about Drupkelders and decided to give it a go one morning. Firstly, book ahead. Only 12 people per day are allowed to do the walk. The walk itself was very challenging. Very steep...More

This is one of the best hikes I've been on! Even though a giant millipede fell on my mother's head (LOL) and I screamed my butt off 😂 this was an experience I'll never forget! The hike to the river consists of a lot of...More

Well worth the hike but not an easy one by any means. The youngsters took it in their stride, but not for older folk who have difficulty walking up and down steep uneven slopes.

Not the easiest hiking trail, actually I would clasify it as very difficult but the beauty you find at the Drupkelders was well worth the journey. We had a picnic lunch and refreshing ice cold swim before heading back. My only complaint is that at...More
