Though damaged through shortsighted tourism schemes in the 1960s, these caves are still worth a visit for their eerie dark tunnels and stunning limestone formations.

If in the area, do not miss a visit to the Cango Caves! Our group of ten was duly impressed - three of us on the regular walking tour (beautiful) and the other seven on the adventure tour (seeing more inaccessible parts of the caves)....More

I read a few reviews from fellow travelers, especially the ones that gave the caves bad ratings and I'd like to set a few things straight. The tours are split into different parts for a good reason. The heritage tour is suitable for the infirm...More

We did the adventure tour. It is not just walking through beautiful caves, but also a little bit of climbing. If you are claustrophobic, you should not do the adventure tour, but if your not, it is definitely worth it. You don't even have to...More

The caves were just as spectacular as similar caves. Quite large and airy so no problem even if I have a bit of claustrophobia. The guide was just special, sharing interest history in harmony of african songs

Cango caves are spectacular and are worth visiting if in Oudtshoorn. unfortunately our guide on this occasion was very condescending, rude and missed out key information on certain formations.

It was amazing. Our guide was amazing, she gave us an amazing tour of the Caves and was full of interesting facts. She presented the tour well. And she has an amazing voice too.

There are two tours to choose from. The basic tour is very accessible, but you need sensible footwear. The adventure tour is for fit agile, possibly experienced, cavers. It's a fantastic cave with excellent guide.

It all depends which tour you take. I took the standard tour which lasts an hour. If you want to go deeper into the caves and crawl around then those take up to 3 or 4 hours. There is a short film which you can watch before... More
