Just a shop yes but so quickly and old fashioned you never know what you will find round the next corner. It’s a great place to explore and see what you can find of interest.

Wonderful shop in Stellenbosch...yeah it is a bit touristic but certainly worth the effort to visit and buy some of the nice things uncle Sam has to offer

The shop is located in Dorp Street, Stellenbosch which has some of the most beautiful architecture in town. Taking a walk down Dorp Street would be well served to working in a stop at Oom Samie se Winkel. The shop was styled with an old...More

Walking back in time. Anything you can think of to buy. Perfect for tourists. Friendly ladies at the counter. Worth the visit.

What an amazing shop. It takes you down memory lane with some of the goodies available to buy. A huge assortment of old and new things to buy, as well as old trusted remedies, sweets and collectables

If you are looking for candy I guess it is OK. But everything else is old and tired. Many nicer, more interesting and less expensive shops in town.

This shop has Avery wide variety of old stuff, very much packed in a few small rooms. Lots of people looking out of curiosity, very little buyers. Also a wide range of very old and expensive wines stored in the heat of the shop... Good...More

This shop hasn't changed, or changed very little, since I visited it as a student. The goods do not reflect the times, and the staff attitude is so 1960.

Stopped at Oom Samie's during our recent South African visit and don't really know what to say. Even though it sells old stuff, It should also move on and keep up with modern times. There was just nothing new and exciting and the staff were...More
