Sited at the head of Church St and having literal as well as symbolic implications, is this charming Dutch Reformed Church. Its gracious lines can be best appreciated, when walking up the oak-lined Church St. The church and its related buildings is set in well-manicured...More

It is a lovely church with manicured grounds. Compared to some of the ornate cathedrals that I have visited, it is a little plain. Of course, that is by design and it suits the sentiment of the congregation very well.

Beautiful architecture, the church typifies the grand style of the past, the history of the first people that settled here. The beautiful arching seating inside, spotlessly clean and elegant, definitely worth an hour to float around. Situated at the top of church street.

We were strolling a little bit in Stellenbosch when we faced this nice church. It was a pity that was closed, but in the outskirts of the place was very nice.

This is truly a masterpiece. The Church creates an atmosphere of time by gone. The building is beautiful preserved and still used for Church services.

Beautiful white coloured building in the old area of the town. The church dates from 1735 though not completed till 1863 by a German architect. If possible try to listen to one of the church volunteer guides - unfortunately none were free when we were...More

Its buildings like this that give the town its special character, Sadly it was closed when we were there, and couldn't see when it was open?
