We were a group of eight people, from Italy, two of us were underage, so they couldn't drink. We had chosen Simonsig more less casually reading our guide. It turned out we were very lucky not only because of the kindness and the hospitality, but also for the beauty of the location and the quality of their wines. We found out... More

This was first stop of a wine tour booked with Cedric of Luhambo tours. A small group of 7 we were treated to 8 tastes. There was an all action start to the day which I'm sure you will enjoy if visiting. Living in the UK we were hopeful of purchasing some of Simonsig sparkling wines, the host soon sorted... More

This estate never fails to deliver the goods. Friendly, interested and attentive staff, with a good range of wines to suit all tastes. Wine tasting is reasonably priced and the available cheese board is of a good quality as an add-on extra. Heartily recommended.

Super friendly and professional staff and a fun environment to visit. The wine adviser (Henrina Jordaan) was absolutely awesome as she was very familiar with all the details and really gave us a great wine tasting experience and super friendly and accommodating. We even left with a few bottles of wine!! The wine price list is very reasonable and the... More

Not far from Cape Town...half a day trip... Not one of the big wineries but has history & very compact experience.

This was a great wine tasting g experience with friendly and helpful staff. Loved the Cuvée Royals Blanc de Blancs - as good or better than many champagnes!

We enjoyed most of the wines offered for tasting and bought one for the evening. This was recommended by the wine agent we mostly buy from and it was a good pointer. Very quiet

We enjoyed a very relaxed tasting in the sunny courtyard. It was nice to be able to choose the 5 wines you wanted to taste and to collect them from the bar in your own time. Good value compared to some of the tastings we did.

The service by management and staff was faultless. The food was plentiful and Gourmet standard. The pork neck and Designer Burgers were feasts for the palate. The birthday girl was invited to successfully splice off the top of a Champagne bottle. I ate the very best bread ever made and the cheeseboards were incredibly generous with homemade Melba toast and... More

You can spend an entire day at Simonsig with all that there is to do on this farm. Start off by booking an activity to cut the top off of an MCC bottle with a sword. You will also enjoy walking around the garden to read the outside museum pieces and various other old artifacts. The service was really good... More
