Three Kings Chapel overlooks the beautiful south Goa area and Arabian Sea. It's quite lovely and depending on the time of year, you will see lots of fields of vegetables or rice paddies amidst all the other vegetation and palms. The chapel itself was not open (only one day a month I think our guide said), but it was worth the trip. If you are there with a guide, be sure to ask about the ghost stories and the three kings activity/processional each year. It's quite a hike if you walk it so be sure to take water. If you ride a bike, you will likely need one with some electric support, or drive up if in a car. The last part you will have to walk: by taking the rode or by the stairs. If you choose the longer rode option, you are likely to see monkeys, so we recommend that option!

The Three Kings Chapel is a lone church located atop a hill called Cuelim, in Cansaulim, in the vast expanses of South Goa.
If you are in south Goa, you can visit this place. the view from the place are breath-taking. If you’re curious and want to explore the site yourself, make sure you head there before 6pm, post sunset visitors are not allowed on the church grounds.

The Three Kings’ Church in Casualim village is the most popular haunted place in Goa. It is named after the three scholar-kings who went to visit Lord Jesus at the time of his birth in Bethlehem. Also, there is a popular haunted story of Goa that talks of the three Portuguese kings who once ruled the land. Greedy for power, one of them poisoned and killed the other two. This made his subjects very angry who turned against the king. Unhappy by his deeds, the king committed suicide by consuming poison. Many say that the bodies of the three kings are buried under the church and their spirits roam around the church and the village. The second reason to visit this beautiful church, and which remains available throughout the year, is the stunning view from the hill-top. Get here before sundown and you will be treated to a mind numbing sunset and spectacular 360 degree views of Goa. From here you can see the ocean and the palm trees that border the beach stretching below from Velsao all the way to Colva and beyond which is close to a 20 kms stretch. Should you be here during the morning hours and if you are lucky enough to see them, the Air Force fighters follow a flight path that takes them screaming directly over the church and straight out to sea.So if you are planning to visit Goa, include Three Kings Church in your itinerary but do not do so in hopes of finding a ghost because there are none here. The only thing you will find here is the peace and natural beauty of the place.

‘3 kings church’ Goa... built in 1599, and known to house ghosts of 3 Portuguese kings who still are said to roam in the area... question is can god and ghost resides in same place? 🤔Nevertheless, this is a beautiful location with some fantastic views!! The church has stood there for 419 year (older than Taj Mahal) ... touched it and was actually hoping to meet the spirits which did not happen unfortunately. This one is told to be one of the most haunted places in India to an extent that even the church org that administers it seems to have closed it for worship and apparent opens it only once in a year.

This church is situated at the peak of the mountain in cansaulim area, close to Margao city. It is said to be a haunted place. It is a very calm and quiet area. And a picturesque view of the city can be viewed from here through bird view. Just beyond that as go along you wil find a mud road which leads you to "Heart Lake"
Yes it is of the shape of the heart. You need to trek down the place for around 1.5 - 2 kms. And when u go further you reach the beach. So all in all it is an amazing and secluded place to go to.
To reach there you need to hire pro ate transport as there is no public transport to reach there.

So if you're in south Goa or Vasco then three kings is in Cansaulim and is more or less half an hour drive on a scooter. It's supposed to be haunted and is an attraction to youngsters because of that. So expect a few people even after the sunset.
Sunset view from three kings is absolutely breathtaking and is worth a few photographs if you're not into spooky tourism.
Overall it's a nice place and if you have a few hours to kill, it wouldn't disappoint you much.
PS: as far as spookiness is concerned, I'm a huge skeptic, I didn't experience much. My friend Myron that I went with is a devout catholic and felt something eerie. So take what you want from it .

This place can be visited if you are travelling from north to south goa since it comes somewhere in between. This place is not safe if you are planning to go after 5 30 in the evening because reaching this place itself is completely isolated. Until we reached the spot we didn't see anybody on route so there is a safety concern not only for us but in case of emergencies like vehicle breakdown or health . You have to climb a bit to reach the church and once you are on the top you have incredible view of goa. We went bit early so climate was hot but if you are at around 4 30- 5 pm one could enjoy the best sunset view . I am a nature lover and I loved this place. Also I would like to say something what a goa resident have told me that this place is haunted. What I was said was there were 3 friends or kings who used to ride up the hill in horse and later something bad happened among themselves .Also I was disappointed when church was closed and later I came to know that this church is always closed since no priest wants to go there for main reason is the remote location. I am still yet to read their history. Inspite of knowing that I visited this place. I am leaving behind 5 stars for the well maintained church and the incredible view making it a must place to see if you are at goa .
