We passed the Da Ponte Fountain whilst on a one day stop in Koper on a Sunday in June. We had chosen to take a self-guided tour of the port and found the fountain whilst walking around. Unfortunately we could not get a good ‘straight on’ photo of it because here seemed to be some sort of stage being erected adjacent to it.
The fountain was working and is worth looking if you are passing by.

The Koper bridge fountain: a baroque jewel
The Koper Bridge Fountain is one of the most beautiful and representative attractions of the city. It is located in Piazza Tito, in the historic center, and is a perfect example of baroque architecture.

The fountain is decorated with 15 pillars, topped with pine cone-shaped sculptures. In the four corners of the pool there are masks representing the water deities.

Be sure to see this unusual fountain if in town. Who wouldn't want to see the miniature Rialto Bridge over a fountain!
I didn't try the water.

The Da Ponte Fountain is a fountain in the city of Koper (Slovenia). It is located at Prešeren Square.
A subaquatic aqueduct connected the island of Koper to the mainland as early as the end of the 14th century. By the 16th century, the 10,000 inhabitants of the city were facing a water shortage. In the 17th century, Niccolò Manzuoli recorded the city water supply, noting that a 2-mile distant spring at Colonna was piped to the island via wooden underwater tubes, some of which have been unearthed during excavations by modern archeologists.

The fountain is pretty and worth stopping for a few moments while walking through the streets of Koper. I wouldn't, necessarily, go out of the way to see it, but if you're nearby, it's worth taking an extra moment to see it.

Situated inside the old town of Koper at the top of a small square and only a ten minute stroll to the marina , sunbathing area and port. Worth exploring all the surrounding narrow streets.

It's just one more thing to see in a tiny coastal town, it sits on a square surrounded by cafes, a restaurant and some shops.

We passed this pretty fountain as we walked all around the old city. It is on a square, out in the open. Not operating, but we admired the old sculpture and design.

Magnificent fountain located in a large square quite close to the Cathedral and Bell Tower. Surrounded by cafes, a restaurant and some shops, the fountain is spectacular and well worth stopping to admire the architecture.

This is a pretty fountain set in a quiet square a short walk from the cathedral and near muda gate. Well worth a look as it is unusual.
