We stopped into this wine shop as we were staying nearby to inquire about a wine tasting. We were told that the English speaking person would be available the next day, so we popped in mid-day the next day and asked for a wine tasting...More
Thanks for the service however after buying a case of wine to take home we realised that this shop overcharged us to the tune of 200 pesos per bottle - thats 1200 pesos! Beware people please check prices as you will get ripped off!
Located just a skip from the famous San Telmo Market and really close to Defensa street, this charming place (Trip Advisor, you silly people, this is not a restaurant) is good for a lot of things. You could do a wine-tasting with your friends (you...More
This place is fantastic! We went here as part of a walking tour. Flávio, the owner, is just delightful. He opened some amazing Malbecs for us to taste. He has on fun music videos and will play whatever you want to hear/watch -- he put...More
We found this place when we were wandering about San Telmo. It’s a wine shop and vinoteca. We got a table outside and the friendly manager recommended several different wines to try so I knew what to buy. It was a great introduction to Argentinean...More
We happened upon this location while exploring San Telmo and are so glad we stopped in for a wine tasting. The owner was very charming, pleasant and very excited to share his knowledge with us. The wines were delicious and very reasonably priced.
One of the bets wine tasting experiences I have ever had. We were walking through the San Telmo market on Sunday and came across this place with a small sign that said wine tasting outside. The owner did our tasting and was so knowledgeable about...More
Very wider range of Mendoza red, white and sparkling wines served in a great environment with good wine bar food accompaniments. Drink-in price seems to be the advertised price (don't know if there's a discount for take out). Better than 95% of wine bars in...More
Characterized by cobblestones and narrow streets, San Telmo is defined by the tango, the dance that made Buenos Aires world-famous. Tango is a fusion of many different cultures: a true child of immigration, much like the city itself. Nowadays, it comes alive after dark in the milongas (dance parties) attended by both locals and visitors alike, who dance until the wee hours of the morning. During the day, the antique
shops and classic cafés and bars around Plaza Dorrego dominate the scene. The emblematic Bar Plaza Dorrego, with its green awnings, checkered tile floors, and wooden interiors, takes you back in time the moment you step inside. For true porteño traditions, San Telmo is the place to be.
