If you need, they'll pack it for you. Joaquin is not only a great professional but also an awesome guy! Totally worth the visit and next... More

Definitely try to make a reservation online but if not give them a call. Without a reservation we came in, met Joaquin, had a great tasting in the back. Returned the next day to pick out bottles for a case to take back to the States. Everyone was really helpful and respected our price point. They packed the bottles in... More

Wine tastings are on Thurs and Fri evenings and they are fun and informative.Your host and staff obviously have a passion for their work and we all benefitted from it. Even with a slight problem of being essentially non Spanish speaking staff and other tasters stepped up to translate and filled in the missing blanks. Mid way through the tasting... More

I had the most fantastic time during a wine tasting with one friend. The sommelier was incredibly knowledgeable, and we had good conversation with him. The wines were amazing from all different regions and all different types. I'll also mention that the cheese served with the wine was delicious! I even bought a bottle of Malbec to bring home. Ja!... Our first night in BA. We were tired but hungry. We located a small restaurant located to a hotel. We asked our waiter for directions to a wine shop and he kindly drew a map and recommended JA ( Lo de Joaquin ) A small boutique wine shop in Palermo. We were greeted by Baptiste a friendly Frenchman who spoke... More

Nice place, the greatest Argentinian wines and goat cheese: perfect combination. Make sure you see the balcony upstairs.

I walked in with no reservation. There was some empty seats, so the owner let me in the wine tasting of the day. I liked the wines, cheese, hams, the owner and the staff members. The atmosphere is very welcoming. The best wine shop in this area.

I cannot rave enough about my experience at Ja! Joaquin and Gaston made us feel like old family friends as soon as we arrived. We ended up buying a bottle after tasting a few wines and drinking it with them in the store! Before we knew it, Joaquin had ordered burgers for all of us. It was one of the... More

We stopped in in the evening on our first day in B.A., looking for a bottle of wine to take back to our airBnb. Joaquin and Gaston greeted us and helped us pick out a couple bottles...before we knew it, we got to talking and Joaquin invited us to have a seat and enjoy some wine together, gave us a... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
