The night we went the atmosphere was lacking, also found the service pretty miserable. To top if off, the beer we wanted was out so we had the bog standard lager, and it was terrible. Not because it was bog standard lager, it tasted like chemical. We did not finish the drinks and left. Try Breoghans, or Antares if you... More

Came in on friday night, we were not seated, so we set down. The place was full but not completely. We ordered beers and cuba libre after a long time of waiting. The beers came in warm and cuba libre made with the cheapest rum possible as you could taste. After a while of arguing on the bar, we got... More

We were impressed with the Polish menu items at Krakow - Tad, the owner, uses authentic Polish recipes and is the "hands on" creator of several classic Polish dishes. Great happy hour prices and drink options and a friendly staff. A young professional crowd comes for the french fries and drink specials - we came twice for the delicious Polish... More

We went there to quickly check this place out since we heard good things about it. It was just a quick visit in a middle afternoon to have a few beers without having any food. Place look really nice inside and staff is friendly even if we did not speak decent Spanish. Worth checking out at least once, probably bit... More

Good to be back in BsAs and in Krakow Bar. This place has evolved tremendously since my last visit. The bar is a welcome respite after u had all obligatory steaks. It has countless tapas and main dishes of European origin, very unusual for a full bar with artisanal taps, countless whiskeys and vodkas. It's very popular between the locals... More

Most bars in Buenos Aires are great and friendly , especially in San Telmo. However this place has turned into a foreinger unfriendly place .Treated like a 3rd class citzen all night , I have been there several times before over the course of 14 months and it has got steadily worse. We moved away from the top end bar... More

I've spent there several evenings with a group of friends and I can say that we had great time. Meals were really delicious, especially polish dishes we like the most. I recommend Krakow Cafe Bar to anybody who likes good food and wants to spend wonderful evening.

It is pretty crazy to find a Polish pup in the middle of Buenos Aires. The food was great. They have authentic Polish food that they make in house plus all kinds of traditional Argentinian food. The happy hour specials are fantastic. Make sure to try some of the Polish wodka's, there's a big list of them on the last... More

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
